I believe that if you are not going to do a job right, then why are you bothering to do it at all? And because of this, I find that sometimes I'll take on more than I can handle, rather than taking the short cut. But when I get the job done it is far more satisfying knowing that it was done right.
At this point I've transferred to a university and even have a job lined up as an automotive engineer upon graduation. One day I want to design and build race cars, specializing in high performance engines of all kinds. But really, as long as it has wheels, an engine, and goes fast I'll be happy if they'll just let me work on it. I'm hoping to get ASE certified in the next year so that I can be better when working hands on. But until then I just have to work on personal projects, like my friend's '68 corvette.
Otherwise, I have a fondness for independent films. In my experience, they are better thought out and more original than the blockbuster films put forth by major studios. I love psychological thrillers, The Abominable Dr. Phibes being one of the scariest films I've ever seen, and one of the most under-rated. Vincent Price is genius in all his movies.
