My self-summary
Hey, I'm Tim, and welcome to my lil profile.

I decided it was time for a serious overhaul on this thing, seeing as how I have been a way from the site form a while. I still live downtown, work in the bar/restaurant industry, and have a niece. What is new is that I am a member of an indie theatre company, am now in my early 30's, and have a nephew on the way.

I love people, and though I am a shy person at heart, I really enjoy social situations where I get to spend time with people I care about and meet new interesting folks. My family is the core of who I am and I love them dearly, though I don't see them as often as I probably should. (Guilty face) I like good conversations, live music is always kick ass, I really enjoy learning and reading, and I am a video-gamer, and somewhat of a geek. But the fun and funny kind, not the socially inept kind. Yes, I am funny, as an actor I have honed this skill. I promise I will make you laugh, and if you make me laugh, you just got even more awesome than you already are.

That being said, I do have an off-beat sense of humor. (ie. oddball, dark, off the wall, random, offensive), but I get along with almost everyone so don't worry.

I am a kind and gentle man at heart, and if those are qualities you value, you should definitely send me a message.

I am silly, introspective, and empathetic
What I’m doing with my life
As I said, I'm a member of a small theatre company here in Toronto. We have been around for two years now, and just put up our fourth production. We do all original works, and the plays use pop culture, media, technological, and geek-ish subjects and topics to explore people and modern life. It is a lot of fun and I am very proud of it, and the work I do as an actor, producer, and company member. We might even have t-shirts soon.

Honestly though, it is certainly not as pretentious as I feel like I have made it sound. Our shows are always fun and enjoyable. Personal promise there.

Aside from that I am planning on doing the getting an agent and trying my hand at the film/tv world, working as a server to pay the bills, trying my hand at writing (I got me a blog!), and preparing for the next step in my life, whatever that may happen to be.
I’m really good at
Listening. When it comes to people, I do have the problem that I can get impatient, and cut people short when I know what they are trying to get at, but are taking forever to say it. I'm workin' on that one.

I'm good at people, understanding, reading and empathizing.

I'm good at talking, and enjoy conversations, from political, to social, to artistic, to silly and pointless, jokey and flirty. It's all fun to me.

I'm good at listening to music, and I do it every day. I love finding new music and seeing new bands, or just good ones.

I'm good at being silly. It's a release for me.

I've got good instincts, and I trust them.

I'm good at video games. It's my generation, baby.

I'm good at randomly guessing the right answers in Trivial Pursuit. And Balderdash. I love me some Balderdash.

I'm a good dancer. For a straight white boy. As long as the room isn't too well lit.

I'm good at giving a hoot about people. I hope you are too.
The first things people usually notice about me
This is a tricky one... I suppose that I tend to be pretty quiet when you first meet me, unless I am with good friends or someplace that I'm comfortable...

I'lll have to ask around on that one...texing three friends to ask now...result: 1) Eyes that look directly at people. Genuine. 2)Friendliness and wit. 3) I wear glasses.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: This is Your Brain on Music, Preacher, A Heart-Breaking Work of Staggering Genius, pretty much all of Chuck Palahniuk's work, The Walking Dead, Shakespeare, World War Z, Rolling Stone, Q, video game mags, history books, Watchmen, etc. (Does wikipedia count?)

Movies: Anchorman, Hot Fuzz, Shawn of the Dead, The original Transformers Movie, Kung Pow, Ghostbusters, Waking Life, Lost in Translation, V for Vendetta(yes I read the graphic a long time ago), The pink panther, Army of Darkness, No Country for Old Men, Amelie, Indiana Jones (Raiders/Last Crusade)

Music: Um, Radiohead, Bowie, Beck, Stars, Metric, DFA 1979, Muse, Block Party, Feist, BSS, NIN, Pink Floyd, Eric B. and Rakim, Motown, MGMT, David Bowie, funk, Marvin Gaye, Tribe Called Quest, and seriously on and on.

Foods: I am an omnivore, but I do love bacon and red meat. Don't get me wrong, I can really dig on a good salad, and celery and cucumbers are yummy snacks. I just like steak too.
Six things I could never do without
My family, music/sound, sex, pillows, good shoes, my friends, time out/time in. Yes I cheated, there are seven items. Win!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My thoughts move quickly from one topic to the next, often going off into tangents or bizzaro-land. It's a fun trip. There are, however, things that stick in my head. My family and friends, for example, or any book/game/movie that I am occupying myself with at the time, always something about music, sounds, noises, what I'm going to do with myself in the future, sex, general silliness, and then the serious stuff that I use the silliness to take breaks from.
On a typical Friday night I am
...at work, which is all right, out with friends or at a friend's place, sipping beers in a bar, or perhaps hitting some XOXO karaokee, a live show, or maybe even going dancing somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
A few friends of mine and I have a survival plan just in case there is a zombie outbreak.
You should message me if
you are creative, silly, witty, funny, love music, are an actor/musician/artist, a ninja, a cyber-ninja, a gamer, a fun-loving lady, caring, sensetive, kinky, giving, love to laugh or just feel like it.
