My self-summary

Now that that is out of the way: Just like you, I need to be experienced to be appreciated. But were I to be forced to self-summarize by a wicked overlording internet dating site, I'd say I was: amusing, charming, hilarious, friendly, honest, joyful, kind, silly, spontaneous, best friend ever, cuddly, and thoughtful. Plus, I will laugh at all your jokes making you feel like a million bucks.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying it to the fullest.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually my boisterous laugh. In addition to finding things funny, I am funny myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I only read fiction written in the past 25ish years, preferably in the past 10. I have a soft spot for sci-fi, but honestly it has to come highly recommended because there is a lot of garbage out there.

Movies - Like my preference for books written in the past 25 years, I also prefer movies filmed in the past 25ish years. There was this awesome video store in Berkeley that had "Offbeat Comedy" and "Offbeat Drama" sections and I love them. But overall, I like more indie style movies that either make me laugh or think. I hate romantic comedies. HATE them. I just watched the movie The Vicious Kind and absolutely loved it. Probably my favorite movie in the past few years.

Music - This is such a weird question for me, but so important too. I'm into (for lack of a better term) "indie" music, but I have been schooled by the young hipsters that there is "no such genre" but truthfully, I still believe there is. My definition of "indie" is basically rock that doesn't blow.

Food - Italian, Mexican, Eritrean, Thai, Veggie Chinese, Avocado rolls, Mediterranean, and greasy spoons. Also, I have to admit I'm a vegetarian, though not a judgmental one, I don't give a crap if other people eat meat, that's their business.
Six things I could never do without
I have found that this question reveals the least about people. There is either a list that is almost the same for each person including the obligatory "friends and family". Or the answer is a tangent about nothing (much like this one).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Is it possible to over-curate a profile so much that it seems like it was written by a bot?
On a typical Friday night I am
being awesome.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love watching MMA. Don't judge me.
You should message me if
You know how to tell funny stories and/or are incredibly witty. I know that is setting the bar pretty high, but don't freak out, I get along with most people.

You should also message me if you are an overpaid tech worker riddled with guilt about your role in gentrification and would like to assuage this guilt by buying me expensive gifts.
