My self-summary
Recently moved to the Phoenix area from Madison, WI.

I've been through a lot over the years. Lots of good, lots of bad, and I wouldn't change a single part of it because I'm very happy with who it has made me. I'm confident and ambitious. I know what I want and how to get it (in most cases). If I remember right, I'm an ENFP if that means anything to you.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a web-programmer, musician, voice actor, promoter, DJ, music journalist, and host of things (what would you call that?)

Sometimes I make stupid videos like this

I've been voice acting independently for 2 years. You can hear some of my recent work in the band PHOX's video EP Confetti
I explained how Goosebumps work for Men's Health Magazine
I narrated a whiteboard animation for the Orange County Transit Authority
and voiced an angry old man for The Weekly Standard
Like cats? I narrated this commercial for the mobile game Cat Tap Fever:
I've even done VO for a sports (SPORTS!) video!
and explainer videos for websites like

Also, for shits and grins I recorded Dr. Girlfriend from The Venture Bros reading an excerpt from 50 Shades of Grey

I host a Let's Play channel on youtube at

I have a voice acting Youtube channel at

And I document my various journeys and live shows at

I'm currently starting a company with my friend Matt that specializes in simple websites for bands. We've done and the new site for DJ Michal Menert.

I'm in two bands. One is called Sparklefuck where I play bass and manage the band, and the other is called Made of Blocks. In addition to these two bands I also manage the bands The Moguls and One Last Run and yearly during the winter holidays, I'm the Mustard Man Mascot for the band Mustard Plug.

I randomly became a promoter? I started booking shows that I wanted to see because lots of artists I really enjoy tended to skip over Madison. Most recently, I brought The Protomen to town after four years of not having been here and we sold out The Frequency! Other artists I'm working with include Jenny Owen Youngs, and Bit Brigade. This has lead lots of local bands to ask me to help them put together shows, and has lead to The Inferno giving me a regular concert series on the last Friday of every month which is tied in to my radio show, Earworms.

I used to host a radio show on Max Ink Radio. I did the show for over a year, and when time allows we have live performances that we film and turn in to videos on the Wood Room series on YouTube.

I'm technically on the writing staff for Maximum Ink magazine, though I've only written two articles for them so far. I was the first to print an interview with the local up-and-coming band PHOX. It was my first printed article, and my first cover story. When time permits, I'll be writing album reviews and doing more band interviews in the future.

I host a weekly show at The Inferno on Wednesdays. It's a mashup of all of the old individual Wednesday nights at Inferno, so Karaoke, Open Mic, and Can't Unsee Net TV (Silly internet videos).

Aside from all that, I'm a web contractor during the day.
I’m really good at
Oddly, just about anything that I decide to spend a little time on. I tend to catch on to nearly anything I've tried. I'm good at fixing things (or at least identifying what's wrong), coming up with good social web application ideas.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've never really asked. I would assume it's either my piercings, my eyes, or my lips.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
From My Facebook Profile:

Books: Creatures of light and darkness, the chronicles of amber series, jPod.

It's a guilty pleasure of the industry. :D)

TV Shows: The State, Bored to Death, The Venture Brothers, Firefly, Scrubs, Mythbusters, Heroes, My Name is Earl, The Real Ghostbusters, House MD, Fairly Oddparents, Invader Zim, Teen Titans, Futurama, Captain N, Cowboy Bebop, Dead Like Me, Boondocks, Pushing Daisies, How I Met Your Mother, Top Gear, QI, Never Mind The Buzzcocks (the Simon Amstel years.).

Music: Everything from the Man in Black to Black Flag.. But if I were to choose some recent (and not so recent) notable favorites, I'd have to list Estradasphere (and pretty much all bands associated with them), my beloved extended family PHOX, Alamaailman Vasarat, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Muse, Modem, NOFX, Jonathan Coulton. It would take an impossibly long time to list them all.
Six things I could never do without
Internet, technology, Radio Lab, Music, meat, ninja turtles
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to measure success.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a show or playing a show.
You should message me if
If anything here interests you.
