My self-summary
I'm pretty easy-going and easily amused. I enjoy coffee and tea, people watching, watching movies, and walking around Balboa Park and the zoo. My big passions in life are traveling, my friends, food, seeing and listening to art and reading, among other things. Cooking is another passion when the mood strikes, and when I have someone who'd appreciate my made-up experimental recipes. My friends say I have a quirky sense of humor and I'm not afraid to be an individual. Which does not mean I'm crazy; I'm just pretty comfortable being silly.

I also enjoy meeting people who are passionate and unique in interesting ways. Education is important to me, along with respect and open-mindedness. I'm intrigued by people in general, especially people who are creative and know themselves well.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a steady job that pays surprisingly small considering the amount of education I worked through to get it, but that's a part of non-profit life. That's not to say that I can't afford the necessities plus some fun. Hey, all that traveling and good food have to come from somewhere!

Finding more value in the day-to-day. Being amused and inspired by the little things in life.
I’m really good at
Being a good friend and a good listener. I'm good at my job - my clients appreciate what I do for them. I cook, swim, play tennis, and knit, but I wouldn't consider myself an expert at any of these. I'm really good at being silly and not caring what strangers think!

I'm also incredibly adept at breathing. I still have room for improvement on other human activities, such as eating, drinking, and walking, as I am super clumsy. =)
The first things people usually notice about me
I would guess my smile. I can crack my friends up with my quirky personality. On the other hand, it may just be the bright colors I wear.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
First things first! The foods I love most are Indonesian, Thai, Dim Sum, French, Japanese, and seafood.

My favorite books for now are Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty One Day, the Harry Potter books. I'm constantly reading, so the list changes quite a bit.

I listen to a bunch of different music, among them the Beatles, Aerosmith, the Rat Pack, Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, Owl City, Michael Buble, mellow music.

TV: Grey's Anatomy, So You Think You Can Dance, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Top Chef.

Movies: I like my chick flicks, but I also like comedy, action and psychological thrillers. My favorite movies are probably Shawshank Redemption, Amelie, the third Indiana Jones, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Love Actually, and Fifth Element. I love classic Disney movies - it's good for the soul ... nothing like a good cartoon to lift up your spirits!
Six things I could never do without
- People around me. Connections, conversations, laughter.
- I can't sleep without my body pillow.
- Books Books Books!
- Travelling and novel experiences.
- Good food. Yum!
- Some kind of creative outlet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My life and future. The relationships in my life. Coming up with theories and philosophies to live by.

On the lighter side, I wonder about the most random things, like what is the difference between a caper and a caper berry. =)
On a typical Friday night I am
I sometimes hang out with my friends, go to happy hour and come back and watch a movie with them. Or I come home, put on my pj bottoms and cook dinner with my roommate. I go out of town pretty frequently, so you'll find me driving up to LA or taking a flight to SF, or another interesting destination.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Surprisingly, I get really shy around girls I like (or find hot!) and tend to blush, which really does not help the shyness... I am trying to be braver.
You should message me if
If you can be fun and silly at times and also have intellectual conversations when the time calls for them.

If you're really open-minded and realize there are other ways of thinking/living than the traditional.

Inversely, if you don't like to compromise and are rigid in how you approach life, you're not for me.
