My self-summary
A while back, I moved from Brooklyn to Philly to go to grad school and wound up staying. I think this city has a lot to offer, and I want to explore it more. I am a fairly big extrovert (an ENFP for all you Myers Briggs fans), and I find people fascinating. I love a good laugh with good friends. I am invested in social justice issues, and I am an activist and a feminist. I can also absolutely get down with a dive bar, or get down at a dance bar, and I watch more trashy TV than I would like to admit, though recently I've gotten on the NPR bandwagon. I'm a little bit quirky and some people have said I remind them of (a tamer) Sarah Silverman...I think I'm okay with that.
What I’m doing with my life
Professionally, I work in student life (I hangout with college students and play Wii). I also make sure they are doing interesting program and on occasion advocate on their behalf.

In life, I am looking for happiness, fun, excitement, travel and a partner who can keep up with me!
I’m really good at
I am good at trivia (not great), filling awkward silences, talking, listening, laughing, making people laugh, ski ball, and booking cheap flights. *New skill, turns out, I'm not terrible at bocce. I wouldn't say I'm good, but for someone who is just embarrassingly bad at sports, this new found bocce mediocrity is super exciting!
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a smiley person. I am usually way too friendly when I meet people because I feel the burden to make everyone feel comfortable. It's the counselor in me. I also have long crazy wavy/curly hair.

Music: Creedence, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, The Kinks, Dolly, Elvis, The Decemberists, Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young, Jim Croce, the Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, also anything cuirrent I can dance to.
Six things I could never do without
Family (more specifically my two adorable nieces), friends near and far (many of my friends live in other parts of the country which allows for awesome trips.) Seltzer, Chocolate chip cookies, my heated blanket (currently), Pho, The Office (seasons 1-4), summer, Chinese food, ...OH and Anthony Bourdain...I love all things Bourdain.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My friends, my family, the unknown, my students, tv shows that I am overly invested in (currently Sherlock), my future partner, life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to motivate myself to get off the couch. If I succeed, drinks in the neighborhood w/ friends or maybe dinner in Chinatown. I'm definitely more fun on Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have had braces twice. Perpetual awkward stage.
You should message me if
I'm looking for someone who does not take themselves too seriously, has a zest for life, a great sense of humor, likes to travel, loves the outdoors or (like me) wants to and tries really hard to love the outdoors, is liberal but hates those people that walk around trying to out-liberal each other for the sake of being the most liberally. Is down to earth, and, most importantly, wants a friend and an equal partner in a relationship.
The two of us
