My self-summary
Unanimous Praise(?) for the Author of this Profile!

"You're the only person from California I've met that I can actually stand."

"Not what I was expecting."

"Did you just walk into a bush?"

"I used to feel think I was a giant nerd, then I started hanging out with you."

What I’m doing with my life
Masquerading as a productive member of society during the day, working a job whose definition I can't quite define at a tech company that is pure awesome. I also recently picked up the piano again, and I'm sure my neighbors don't appreciate me slowly working off the rust. I play kickball and dodgeball in a league that is really just an excuse to hang out with friends and drink some deliciously potent potables. And when I can I try to squeeze a few hours writing a novel. Very rarely, I sleep.

I'm trying to make every day an improvement- sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail. But I just have to keep trying, right?
I’m really good at
I specialize in getting song lyrics stuck in your head, referencing pop culture, and making jokes that make you visibly wince at how awesome (read: terrible) they were.
The first things people usually notice about me
My ambiguous features which don't quite fit any one demographic.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've always loved reading, and have been since I was a kid and picked up the Count of Monte Cristo off the bookshelf in class one day. I love all kinds of books, from history texts to philosophy, but my all time favorite genre will always be Fantasy. The Kingkiller Chronicle, Harry Potter, The Wheel of Time, the Dresden Files, A Song of Ice and Fire, and anything by Guy Gavriel Kay are some of my favorites that I recommend to everyone and anyone.

The Prestige, Training Day, and Ace Venture 2: When Nature Calls are probably my favorite movies of all time and anything similar to those 3 I'll happily watch and rewatch. I also enjoy watching stuff get blowed up real good everywhere like in Expendables 2.

TV wise - The Wire, Hannibal, Archer, the Simpsons, Flight of the Concords, Once Upon a Time, How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Mad Men, Battlestar Galactica, Supernatural, Breaking Bad, and House of Cards.

Musically, I'm always listening to something different- the Black Keys, Reel Big Fish, Billy Joel, Eminem, the Eagles, Muse, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Maroon 5, the Aquabats, Fall Out Boy, the Fray, etc.
Six things I could never do without
1. The bear necessities- H20, O2, and the people who make up my social support group (aka friends/family). I swear this counts as one.
2. The look on someone's face when I've made a terrible pun.
3. Caffeine. Legitimately I might die without it.
4. The internet. I get paid to do things with it.
5. Rice. I'm Asian- stereotypes exist for a reason.
6. Beer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Narwhals, bad puns, planning out my next trip abroad. I just came back from Europe and I'm already planning my next adventure (East Asia sounds nice). And having a travel companion is never unwelcome. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying nights in half the time, the other half doing my best to be social and not fall asleep standing.
You should message me if
-If you like traveling alone but think a travel companion would also be pretty neat.

-If you've got a favorite board game and you need a willing participant.

-If you want to grab a drink and talk. Good conversation is a treasure that money can't buy.
