My self-summary
*ENTP (extrovert, intuitive, thinking, perceiving).
According to some websites, I get along well with INTJ and INFJ.
ENTPs are described as: prize intelligence and competence over all other things (both in themselves and in others). They are often described as witty, clever, cerebral, and resourceful. They are verbally inclined and they often have a perverse sense of humor. ENTPs like to analyze every side of an issue and are creative thinkers and workers. They sometimes chatter.

I am hilarious, spontaneous, chill, and alive
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently working as a middle school special education teacher in an all Latino school. I co-teach language arts and mathematics to students with disabilities and without disabilities. I am an activist in Chicago through the teacher's union and other organizations. It might sound lame, but I love my job!
I also coach Girls on the Run.
I’m really good at
salsa dancing and dancing in general.

I'm a good activist.
The first things people usually notice about me
I grew up with all boys so I'm pretty chill.

Physically: I guess my enormous eyes. When I was a little kid, I had to wear an eye patch a few times because I would get things in my eyes and they would get scratched. =( Also if my tattoos are showing they notice my artwork.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I usually read about one book a week. I love autobiographies and biographies about revolutionaries and random fiction books. Recently I read, 11/22/63 by Steven King, Love and Capital (about Karl Marx), One Day, and lots of David Foster Wallace

My favorite bands are The Misfits, Rise Against, Blitzkid, Heavy Heavy Low Low....punk, metal, hardcore, blues, jazz, Latin American music, etc.

TV shows: I have no cable or tv, but I watch shows on hulu: Arrested Development and Seinfeld are my all time favorite shows. I also watch the Office, Daily Show, Always Sunny, Mad Men, Smash, Modern Family, True Blood, Weeds, Sex and the City.

I am pescatarian (I only eat fish). I love sushi, thai, tapas (mana's food bar is my favorite), indian, anything spicy.
Six things I could never do without
My passion for my career (if I stopped loving it, I would quit)
Music that makes me want to move
20 year old cockatiel named Hobbes
Unions (we wouldn't have weekends without em!)
Nighttime music mix to fall asleep to
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Funny things my students say at school, such as, "Why did you choose that name." She didn't realize that teachers go by their last names, she thought we just chose names when we started teaching.

The next union action or how to organize my school or community.

How I can enhance my students critical thinking skills and inspire them to take on challenges.
On a typical Friday night I am
at a union/teacher social event, rockin out or dancing at a concert or blues club, talking politics at a bar with good belgian style beer, salsa dancing, reading a book, curled up on the couch watching a movie, comedy club (Zanies) or passed out after a long day with students...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I broke my tailbone by jumping off a 40 foot waterfall after a man that looked like Tarzan. By the time I came up from the water with a sore bottom, I saw that he had a Jane (a girlfriend) at the bottom of the waterfall. Not my best idea. I had to bring a red blow up doughnut everywhere I went in Ecuador, even on buses or trains. I was known as the "gringa with the broken butt."

I have a hitchhikers thumb... literally. It bends back to a 90 degree angle. Ironically, I have only hitchhiked once when I was kicked off a bus on the way to the rainforest. I am a thumb war champion! Just try to beat me.
You should message me if
You are an open-minded person in the Chicago-land area (Why do people from out of state or out of the country write me?)

You are intelligent and can participate in a good debate with me.

And you are open for meeting, not just chatting on messenger for years.

You are politically to the left, goal oriented and you have pizazz (spunk, something interesting about you). Sorry army guys or republicans, I won't date you.

You've rocked a megaphone before.

You can make me laugh.

You're not bat-shit crazy.
