My self-summary
Moving to Dallas in September, via Seattle. I also lived in Sacramento for a while, and before that, the Bay Area; and before that San Diego; and before that, college in Los Angeles.

I used to be the fat kid in high school, then I started running marathons.

I'm very laid-back, even-tempered, and I've got my shit together. I know exactly what I want in life and I am on the path to achieving it. All that's left is you!

Loud bars and clubs are not my thing, I prefer pubs, restaurants, or staying in with a nice bottle of wine. Staying in shape and eating well are important to me, but I don't live at the gym.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated in '08, and now I'm an operations manager/analyst for a consumer goods company. I'm into running, golf, and I try to exercise daily. When I'm not working, I spend my time skiing, watching netflix, reading, or hanging out with friends.
I’m really good at
Lots of stuff! Skiing, cooking, drumming, golfing, quoting movies, singing bad a capella in the shower...
The first things people usually notice about me
My ravishing good looks, of course. Or my clothes...or...I don't know, this question is silly. You'll have to tell me what the first thing you notice is when we first meet.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything by Stephen King, most notably The Gunslinger series, Bag of Bones, and The Stand. Ender's Game. Dune. Lord of the Rings. Chuck Palahniuk. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The Harry Potter series. Far Side cartoons. Calvin & Hobbes.

Movies: Gladiator, Starship Troopers, Twister, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, 5th Element, Fight Club, Braveheart, Contact, Volcano, I Heart Huckabees...I could go on and on. Love movies.

Shows: The West Wing, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, True Blood, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, How I Met your Mother, 30-rock, Parks & Rec, The Wire...and more. Thanks, Netflix

Music: LITERALLY EVERYTHING except country or rap. Uh, some recent favorites would be Beats Antique, Muse, Deadmau5, Hooverphonic, The Decemberists, the Les Miserables original cast recording, Drum Corps, Debussy...I'm all over the place.

Food: Pretty much anything edible, but specifically anything mexican, ribs, Thai, homemade burgers, most baked pasta dishes, Lobster...dude, seriously, I feel like every food is my favorite food. just think of a food and it's probably one of my favorites. Except cous-cous. Fuck cous-cous. I also love good wine. You should see my wine fridge.
The six things I could never do without
1. Sportscenter.
2. Books.
3. College football season.
4. Beer. And I mean good beer, not that watery bud light crap. I'm talkin' Stone, Sierra Nevada, Port Brewing Co., stuff like that. Also wine.
5. Coffee.
6. Movie Theater Popcorn
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...I don't spend a lot of time thinking about any ONE thing...I spend a little time thinking about a whole LOT of things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a good time with good people would be ideal. Sometimes after a long week, though, it's better to just lie on the couch with a good movie or a good book, and a jammy Zinfandel.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I'm in the car by myself, I sing. Loudly. And probably poorly. I also keep drumsticks in my car and jam out when I'm stuck in gridlock. My steering wheel becomes a drumset.
You should message me if
You're a cool girl and you're looking to get to know a cool guy.
But specifically, if you...
are laid back,
are open to trying new things,
like good music
like camping (it's in-tents! haha)
think cooking is a cool hobby
know the difference between your and you're, its and it's
love killing zombies. That one is non-negotiable.
