My self-summary
"Quotes are for dumb people who can't think of something intelligent to say on their own." - Bo Burnham

There are three things you should know about me. I am a college graduate working for Sylvan as a tutor, I am trying to meet fun and intelligent people, I have a problem with writing run-on sentences, and I'm not very good at counting.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated college and have been doing tutoring, first through Varsity Tutors and now through Sylvan. I currently live in an apartment in Austin, and I'm trying to meet more people.

More importantly, I spend a lot of time thinking about if there is any actual, specific purpose to life and existence (I don't think so personally). Then I spend much more time saying "screw it" and carrying on through life with a smile, because what other alternative is there? If you are familiar with philosophy I would probably be considered an absurdist.
I’m really good at
It would probably be quicker for me to list the things I'm bad at. Get it? I'm saying that I'm good at so many things, there are actually fewer things I'm bad at. Wow, isn't that a neat response? No but really, I'm like any other person, I have a variety of strengths and a variety of weaknesses, but it would be really boring for me to just list them all here.

Anyways, I'm a pro at procrastinating, I'm fantastic at talking more than I should, and I'm pretty sure I could take you at ping pong. Beyond that, feel free to ask or learn more when we talk!
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically, I usually get comments on my hair or eyes. I have naturally curly hair that people have always felt the compulsive need to touch for my entire life. And my eyes kind of change in colors between baby blue, dark blue, or green depending on my surroundings and the clothes I'm wearing. I've also got a pretty nice ass.

With my personality, people notice almost immediately that I'm extremely outgoing. I'm not shy at all, have never had any problems meeting people, and I love to talk. It's gotten me in trouble a number of times.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Harry Potter, Ender's Game, 1984, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Piers Anthony

Movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Quentin Tarantino, Moonrise Kingdom, Mad Max, Guardians of the Galaxy, Silver Linings Playbook

Shows: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Dexter, Arrested Development, Scrubs, Freaks and Geeks, South Park, Friends, Parks and Recreation, Community, Malcolm in the Middle, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and recently my favorites are Rick and Morty and Atlanta.

Music: My all time favorite band is Queen, a bit because I love all of their songs, but mostly because I have an irrationally high love for Bohemian Rhapsody. I listen to most genres and enjoy a lot of different types of music, although there are a few styles of music I'm not a huge fan of. Country and extremely aggressive rock music (like metal) come to mind.

Food: I'll eat pretty much anything. For whatever reason I don't like raw tomatoes, which is weird because I love pizza, tomato soup, ketchup, etc. (all of which involve tomatoes!). Beyond that, I like most food.
Six things I could never do without
1. Family
2. A partner
3. Other people!
4. Fun stuff to do
5. An internet connection
6. Food/Water/Air/Shelter

I'm aware that this is about as generic of a 6 item list as you can get, but I was just being honest. I could have listed more things specific to my personality but these were my realistic answers.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When you look closely, the universe is really quite absurd. Life specifically is hilariously bizarre. Everything operates like a chaotic collection of individual moving pieces bouncing off and banging into each other. It's nice to take a step back every once in a while, get some perspective, and realize why we shouldn't take everything so seriously all the time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Finding and exploring the neatest areas of Austin. Enjoying frivolous but entertaining conversation. Competing with my friends at sports, video games, and any other fun competitions we concoct. Relaxing and being intimate with the people I'm closest to.

Or being super lazy and watching Netflix while eating some kind of unhealthy food. That happens too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't keep any secrets, and I'm an open book about literally everything. Honesty is a very important value of mine. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I will answer absolutely anything. I'm not shy, and I won't be offended.
You should message me if
You are passionate about your future, whatever pursuit it may be. You are intelligent and can hold your own in a discussion. You aren't very uptight and you don't take yourself or life too seriously. Having a sense of humor is awesome. And don't bother messaging me if you can believe it's not butter. I've been burned before and I'm not ready to go down that road again. I'm sorry, but if you believe it's not butter, I have no choice but to shun you. I'm willing to negotiate on the rest of things, but I draw the line on butter. But really, message me if you are looking for someone to chat and have a conversation with!
