My self-summary
Hi, I'm Ashley, and I live in a nice apartment somewhere in West Seneca with my fiancé and four cats that I'm convinced are periodically possessed by an evil force (could it be his ex-girlfriend? Note to self: contact exorcist). I try to keep the place relatively clean (but I think I'm allergic to housework), and try to find excuses to put off doing the dishes (sometimes they work). I'm more of a stay-at-home gal, and not fond of going out to night-clubs or parties, although going out for drinks once in a while is okay. I also hate talking on the phone, and would rather text.

I like to read, write, play tennis, badminton, racquetball, and volleyball. Mind you I'm not very good at any of those sports, but at least I can provide entertainment whilst chasing after the ball and inventing new curse words. I also love to sing karaoke, do puzzles, draw, paint, hike, go canoeing, watch movies, and go out to eat.

So right now, I'm really looking for some new friends, male and female. Send me a message, and I'd be happy to get together to chat over coffee or tea!
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a Registered Nurse in a local hospital, paying off student loans (shoot me now), fighting off an addiction to coffee (really don't know if that one's gonna happen), getting into trouble, planning a wedding
I’m really good at
Making friends and making people laugh. (I also crack myself up at times too...hey, don't judge, we're all special in our own way.) I also like to think I can cook a decent meal when I'm in the mood and have more than one person to cook for. It's no fun cooking for only one person.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tell me I have a nice smile while some people comment on my eyes. If we were strangers that just happened to be sitting at the same table amongst a group of strangers, I think you would say that I'm outgoing and make friends easily. I'm that person who gets the conversational ball rolling, and our table usually has a lot of laughter and talking going on.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love to read, and always can be found with my nose in a book somewhere. I could never choose a favorite book among them all, but I can name a few favorite authors: Linda Howard, Karen Robards, Suzanne Brockmann, Laurell K Hamilton, J.K. Rowlings, Janet Evanovich, Mary Janice Davidson, Stephanie Meyers...the list goes on and on and on. Movies, I love all Disney movies, the Jurassic Park series, Sister Act, Beverly Hills Ninja, Avatar, Knight and Day, the Batman series (FYI Batman is so much cooler than Superman)...all sorts of movies. As for food, I love food, period. Mexican, Indian, Thai, French, Italian, Mongolian, Seafood, Barbeque, American food...I love it all! Music? Everything from country to pop to classical to Disney songs to 80s, 90s, and some rap. Really the only thing I don't listen to that much is heavy metal.
The six things I could never do without
1) My Family - I'm very close to my family and love them very much. When we all get together it's loud, happy, and crowded.

2) My Pets - 4 mischievous cats that live with me and 1 awesome dog that lives with my parents, since when I originally moved out many years ago I couldn't take him with me and my parents have now pulled the 'possession is nine-tenths of the law' stunt.

3) My books - I can live without the TV or computer, but please don't take away my books! They keep me saaaaaane!

4) My Friends - Another kind of family entirely

5) Laughter - Yuk it up, it's either laugh or be miserable

6) Music!

so it didn't ask for 7 things, but I'm going to put one more thing that I absolutely cannot live without:

7) YOU. You changed my life from the moment we met, and I'm the luckiest woman in the world to be able to call you mine. I don't know what I would do without you, and I hope I never have to find out.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Getting my motorcycle license, my pilots license, learning how to play new instruments, wondering how the hell am I going to pay for this wedding?! And okay, I'll be honest, there is many a time when I wonder if my cats intentionally set out to be jerks and trip me in the middle of the room.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working overnights. When thats not happening I'm usually up to no good ;)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Okay okay, I confess...When I'm at work I can deal with any kind of disgusting wound or body fluid that comes flying through the air my way. You duck, thank whoever is in charge up there that it didn't make a direct hit, and keep going on. But I don't like to watch the horrible wounds taking place in a movie. Give me a dude who's had their arm chopped off and is spurting blood across the room and I'm cool as a cucumber, tell me I gotta actually watch the guy get his arm chopped off and I'll likely hide my face in a pillow. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!
You should message me if
1) You've won the lottery and have the sudden urge to split it with me
2) You can draw a square without any lines
3) You can lick your elbow (I would PAY to see that)
5) You noticed that I skipped #4
6) You travel through time and space in a machine called the Tardis
7) You know who the Hero of Canton is
8) You actually read my profile
