My self-summary
I used to be a professional trumpet player, but I am changing careers and redefining (or perhaps un-defining) myself into a healer. I have had some amazing experiences with physical therapists in the past, so I've decided to become one myself. I am passionate about the body's and mind's ability to heal and to change and to remodel itself. It is a beautiful, subtle art.

I enjoy running and exercise and the relaxation and calmness that comes from heavily exerting myself. I would love to meet someone with whom I can enjoy runs along the Embarcadero, Chrissy Field, etc, but it's not required by any means.

I love thinking about stuff and being curious, like how AMAZING it is that we're all on a rock hurtling through space at 150km/sec or whatever it is and we're totally and completely dependent on the sun and if it ever just decided to get up and walk away we'd all be screwed. I mean, I know that's not going to happen because Newton said so, but still. Or how light propagates away from anything with mass at the speed of light, no matter how fast that piece of matter is moving. I mean, what? Stuff is amazing.

I play guitar now. Old habits are hard to break, so I usually end up practicing my major and minor scales. That and dream theater songs. I love Dream Theater; it's an important thing to know about me.

I drive for Lyft occasionally, too. It totally fits my personality. I like to ham with people and just learn about them, and drive all over this beautiful, vibrant city. We talk about how cool growing up in the 80's and 90's was. Sometimes we rock the journey if its late and they're drunk and happy. It's awesome.

I get passionate, enthusiastic, and energized by the things I enjoy, like bodywork, playing music and running, and it's not uncommon for me to jump up and down about how awesome something is. But if you've been reading you've figured that out by now.

Oh, and I love college basketball - Go Hoosiers!!!
What I’m doing with my life
Combining music and physical therapy to treat people whose passion for improvement and betterment and artistry prevents them from knowing when enough is enough.
I’m really good at
Music. Going with my gut. Writing. Cooking meat to a beautiful medium rare. Changing a tire. Teaching.
The first things people usually notice about me
I maintain eye contact. I'm comfortable in my own skin around others and offer myself openly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: Literally everything. Sushi, mexican (only fresh and authentic), thai, chinese, a well grilled lamb chop. Really, really spicy stuff. Mmmm good wine can make an evening. I enjoy coffee. There is nothing better than (I started this sentence without knowing what I would say, for the challenge) Bo Kho at Kevins.

Music: Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Third Eye Blind, John Mayer, Coldplay, Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty, singer/song writer type stuff. No rap or pop generally. Although I'll have a listen if it's catchy. Some classical.

I rarely watch TV, unless it's sports, although I've been known to be dragged into watching the bachelor. Those great long shows like The Wire, Six Feet Under, Dexter, MadMen, etc. they blow movies out of the water.

Reading materials: Textbooks at the moment and for the foreseeable future. Self improvement books like 7 habits, leadership books, guitar tab books, newspapers, Economist and the Atlantic.
Six things I could never do without
I love reading people's top six! Here are mine:

Indoor plumbing, BY A MILE.
Dream Theater.
Running shoes and a foam roller.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
being kind and more forgiving of myself and others, food, when the next golf or tennis major is, my friends, winning the lottery, goals...
On a typical Friday night I am
driving for lyft, listening to my music and chatting with cool people.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll read your profile before looking at your pictures. Maybe. Usually.
You should message me if
I messaged you!

You're a kind, easy going type. We'd get along swimmingly if you are.

You don't get super ramped up about stuff like politics or whether someone on the freeway cut you off.

You don't mind that I'm allergic to cats (it's not my fault, it's my stupid IgEs and mast cells, sorry)

You'd like to check out some of the SF Chronicle's bargain bites that just came out.

You consider strangers to be simply friends you haven't met yet, and prefer to have initial conversations that consist of declarations of perspective and opinion, rather than question/answer sessions.
