I love to travel yes... I have found traveling is a great deal more enjoyable when you are with those you love- Family, friends, significant other....
I have a balcony garden thing. You know... Lettuce, herbs and such. The greatest success has been radishes. I have no idea why I planted them. Radishes pretty much suck.
I volunteer Saturdays for a local food pantry. I am taking a CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) course on Tuesdays. Joining Team Rubicon would be a gas. (update:finished the course)
Bought a Jeep Wrangler. I love my Jeep. Like... Too much.
Some of my weaknesses... I can get emotional, though I am a pretty happy person in general and very rarely get honestly angry. I have had a friend that thought I was judgmental... I told him he was wrong as always.
I love camping, fishing. hiking and would like to get into kayaking. I really enjoy fairly elaborate camp/open fire cooking. Basically outdoors stuff is my bag.
I stay in decent shape. I like to complain about a couple injuries I am rehabbing. In fact... I like to complain in general.
I have found myself adopting more of a spiritual path lately. I have attended a couple services and church functions looking for a home. Mostly I started going to church looking to finding ways to give back to the community, but I have to admit I have had unexpected spiritual growth. I love the surprises in life.
I stole the line from Glee. I should probably put under "Most Private Thing I am Willing To Admit" I both steal lines from movies and other sources to claim as my own... and I watched Glee....
So a general idea-
Not really a music fan. Well that isn't completely true, you could say I don't usually listen to music. I do like my silence.
As far as reading. Well I should read more but-
Every now and then I will get into a biography or some poetry. A little cheezy science fiction or comedy type stuff. I like a self-help book every now and then, Tony Robbins being a favorite.
Philip Dick, Saramago, CS Lewis and my favorite recently Kafka.
I do pretty well cooking sometimes. Probably worth mentioning I have Celiacs.
(I liked writing the previous couple sentences way too much.)
Uppity even for a cat.
Also... I like to schedule things to create alliteration. For instance when my friend Wayne wanted to get together I suggested Wednesday. Or for instance 'Game of Thrones Thursday". I could lie and say I do it so I have an easier time remembering my schedule but the truth is I just plain find it amusing.
I laugh a lot... But I feel for the people i see on an online dating site. Why is everyone so damned lonely? I know how you feel.
A guy (in Kansas if I remember right) copied word for word parts of my profile. And another here in Austin. Kind of has me irritated.
I am looking for someone fairly spiritual... Preferably Christian... I seek a long term commitment and nothing would be more depressing than going to church alone every week. In addition to caring for their spirit, I am looking for someone that respects their physical body. She doesn't have to be in amazing shape... But she should lead a balanced life.
Along with her physical health, I cannot date a person with deep seated issues...
