My self-summary
I grew up in Fargo, ND (sans woodchipper action). A couple of things that I learned from Fargo:
1) Believe that people are generally good;
2) Do things slowly or be patient;
3) It's ok to walk if something is half a mile away.

I'm now done with school, and feel none the wiser for it. If anything, I'm a bit disillusioned with the whole college experience thing. Still, I met some good people, had fun, and read some good books... So it wasn't a total wash. Now I'm off to get a real person job.

I'm an interesting mix of Chinese and Irish, my sister and I decided that the politically correct term is "Chirish". I'm a pretty liberal person (for the most part) and a very open person. Literally, I'll talk about myself all day if given the chance.

Uh, last things... I enjoy comics (Vertigo specifically), learning how to cook new dishes and why they work the way they do, video games (Lots of Rock Band, Smash Bros, and League of Legends), running, and reading.

I am tangential, relaxed, and loquacious
What I’m doing with my life
Back in school (more accurately, doing some additional job training that feels a lot like school), trying to do something international relations related. As far I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with a job that requires a lot of traveling.
I’m really good at
I dunno if I'd say I'm "really good" at anything, but I'm decent at a couple of things:
*Learning to bake and not being terrible
*Shooting games (BANG BANG)
*Rhythm games
*Using phrases and colloquialisms post-ironically

Sometimes I like to tell stories or pretend that I can write and draw.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm told by my roomies that I always smell good.
That's a plus, right?
Also, I've been told I look like a "James", but that's my dad's name.
Which is weird.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Let's see, I'll keep this short by doing lists of top five (in no particular order).
Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus by Ludwig Wittgenstein
It by Stephen King
Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk
Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks
The Girl Who Owned a City by O. T. Nelson (Shut up, it's a great book despite the fact that it's Ayn Rand for pre-teens)
P.S: I hate Ayn Rand. She's not a philosopher.
She's a hack writer.

I'm actually not much of a movie guy, but here we go...
Chasing Amy
Empire Strikes Back
Stray Dog
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
Big Fish

(If I could, I would probably give this a top 20, however, I will do this in order of favorites)
1. Grandaddy
2. Flaming Lips
3. M83
4. Beastie Boys
5. Jens Lekman
Runners Up (CHEATING NOW):
Belle & Sebastian (and also God Help the Girl)

Music in general
(Parenthesis... and elipses (and asides (in parenthesis)))

... And if there could be a seven, it would be Pokemon. Man, Pokemon is fun. Probably the best thing to play when struck with insomnia and you're going to be up until daybreak anyways.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about too much, honestly. Just in general I daydream waaaaay too much. When I'm not daydreaming I tend to go off on quasi-philosophical tangents in my head to pass the time.

Things I daydream about:
Post-apocalyptic wasteland
Zombie infested post-apocalyptic wasteland
Leading a successful career in doing comics or owning a coffee shop

Sometimes I think about stuff that is very boring and dry to most people. These things include:
Politics, and gender roles and how they affect moral systems, and so on and so forth.

I also like to try to guess what people are saying that are just out of earshot, it is usually just "Durrrrrr".
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at home, usually catching up on movies, hanging out with my roommates, or playing video/board games.
Sometimes I go out to eat or maybe hit up a bar (with friends, I'm not sad enough (yet) to go alone). I'm not much of a drinker/partier. If you can't tell by now, I'm a pretty big nerd.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I one time shot a man, just to watch him die.

Due to budget constraints on the prison system, I was let out on parole due to outstanding musical talent.
You should message me if
You'd like to be charmed by a person blessed with a fusion of midwest stoicism and east coast elitism;
You have awesomely fashionable short hair;
You don't mind being a nerd at times;
You like to play videogames;
Hey, biking is great(!);
Hiking and dragging along hammocks is fun too;
You just wanna. Seriously, there's absolutely nothing stopping you.
