My self-summary
Hello! My name is Scott. I'm an upstate NY native that has been living in Colorado for the last 2.5 years. My Colorado adventure has ended and I made my triumphant return back to upstate NY. I've always wanted to live in the Adirondacks so why not one of the most iconic places in sports history, plus I can't imagine living anywhere else in NY.

I am 28, single/white/male, dark hair and eyes (Italian, German, Greek), 5'8'', ~150lbs. and athletically built. I am nice, fun/funny, open, honest, down to earth, outgoing, a hint of shyness, positive, goofy, unique, active, adventurous, passionate, caring, mature, strong-willed, respectful, educated, frugal, practical, neat, well-mannered, and generally simple with hints of complexities.

I'm always planning out my day/week/month or just striving for that next adventure in life as short or long as it may be. I barely watch cable anymore, Netflix and YouTube took over in that department. I get outside and exercise/hike/walk as much as I can. I'm very eager to get a dog but I'm patiently waiting. I graduated college in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and I've been working in the hotel industry for the last 8 years. I have a car, a great hotel job, and living life to the fullest.

Otherwise, in the end of it all, I enjoy but not limited to: good quality movies (psychological thrillers, critically acclaimed classics, comedies), music (any age, kind, or sub-genre of rock, plus a little dubstep, and Eminem), bowling, golf, billiards, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, hiking, skiing, swimming, bicycling, Sportscenter, Nintendo, Magic the Gathering, stand-up comedy, Renaissance festivals, all forms of art, photography, tattoos (have 2), motorsports (cars in general NOT NASCAR, mainly Top Gear UK, and ATVs/dirt bikes), whistling/singing, dogs, traveling by car, hiking/camping (everything about the outdoors), the smell of a campfire, hanging out with friends, board/card games, cooking/cleaning, the library, running errands, or anything cheap, healthy, entertaining, or knowledge worthy.
What I’m doing with my life
--Doing a lot of soul searching, focusing on my health, and slowly finding my niche.

--Trying to teach myself how to play guitar.

--Desparately wanting a perfect game (300) in bowling. I've come close a few times but continuing to practice.

--Lots of walking and I mean a lot of walking. I'm averaging 15,000 steps per day on my pedometer. I also hike about twice a week, in any season/weather, to capture lots of landscape photos. I want to hike all 46 high peaks and in the winter also.
I’m really good at
--Bowling, ping pong, billiards, and chess
--Guitar Hero (expert + hyperspeed) & Super Smash Bros
--Building a campfire & being prepared
--Driving like a New Yorker & rocking out in my car
--Remembering names/faces & hospitality
--Organization & Excel spreadsheets
--Taking the path less traveled
--Completely avoiding the frozen food section of any supermarket
The first things people usually notice about me
--My big physical features: nose, eye brows, forehead, glasses, smile, chinstrap beard

--My intellectual features: openness to what people have to say, to talk well about different topics, engage others in conversation and be genuinely inquisitive, very easy to talk to, down to earth, and real.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My music choice is quite eclectic, ranging from: Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, Tool, and Foo Fighters to Weezer, Sum 41, and Incubus to Pantera, Metallica, and Nirvana to Skrillex, Bassnectar, and Krewella to Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Offspring, Audioslave, and Chevelle to Rodrigo y Gabriella, Buckethead, and Escala to Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Van Halen to Pink Floyd, Journey, Queen, Neil Young, Billy Joel, and Elton John, ...it goes on and on... mostly rock, 90s, and 80s music, but I'm down for nearly anything with a good beat or good guitar riffs/solos, just not pop or country, please!

I'm very passionate and critical when it comes to movies because there's lots of bad movies out there these days... Most horror movies are a complete waste of my time. For me, really good movies & films have lots of impact and influence on my life. Basically, go onto IMDB.com, the section Top 250, and start at the top.

These are some of my favorites: American Beauty, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix, Seven, Goodfellas, Casino, Django Unchained, True Romance, The Big Lebowski, Good Will Hunting, Rounders, Into the Wild, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ratatouille, Dogma, Avatar, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Professional, Amadeus, The Boondock Saints, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, It's All Gone Pete Tong, The Social Network, Gran Turino, Silver Linings Playbook, Interstellar, The Grand Budapest Hotel, anything LoTR or Hobbit, most comedy & zombie movies, some stoner movies, all classic Disney, and a plethora of eye-opening documentaries... Anything by these directors/writers: Quentin Tarantino, David Fincher, Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan, Hayao Miyazaki, Guy Ritchie, Danny Boyle, Darren Aronofsky, Wes Andersen, Kevin Smith, Cohen Brothers... I could go on and on about movies, actors/actresses, and directors... I'm currently addicted to the movie Whiplash, the best movie I've seen this century. Arguably, the best ending to a movie ever...

I'll admit I'm fairly particular what TV I watch: Survivor, The Blacklist, Masterchef Junior, SportsCenter, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Halt and Catch Fire, Top Gear UK, True Detective, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Entourage, Archer, Arrested Development, Jeopardy, some interesting anime, and 90s Nickelodeon cartoons. I always can use a good laugh with some stand-up comedy and a big fan of the Roasts.

I'll admit I'm picky when it comes to books, I'm just trying to find one that really grabs me. I usually read magazines and newspapers with ease and enjoyment. The books that I enjoy are: Homecoming, Of Mice and Men, Lord of the Flies, To Kill a Mockingbird, Into Thin Air, and Brave New World. Anything by Mike Pollan and Edgar Allen Poe. I'm currently reading Tao Te Ching and it's pretty awesome so far.

I'm very simple and somewhat picky when it comes to food. I try to watch what I eat for the most part... My weakness is a Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich. I've always been a meat, veggie, and carb type of guy. I'll eat anything Italian, anything chicken, virtually any meats, sandwiches (egg, cold cuts, tuna), many fruits, some veggies, and I make the best Ramen on earth! I love Chinese and Thai but still getting used to Japanese, Indian, and Mexican. I'm not big on seafood, it's a texture thing... though I've been warming up to sushi a bit more. Coming from NY, I'm a pizza snob. I don't drink coffee, but I'm a fan of green tea.
Six things I could never do without
Family/Friends/Pets & Food/Water/Shelter & Good Health/Sex/Sleep are to be expected.

OK, it's more like 6 categories:
--Personal transport (car, bike, etc.)
--The unexplainable good chills (goosebumps or chicken skin) when you feel, hear, or witness something truly amazing or memorable.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
--Improvement: mentally, physically, psychologically, and spiritually
--My next hike
--My next epic adventure
--What else to add to my bucket list
--Completing my Survivor audition video
--The reminder of living in the now, one day at a time

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That's why it's called present"
On a typical Friday night I am
Any number of things:
--Board game night with friends
--Fancy dinner party with friends
--I'm a great designated driver for going out with friends
--A couple drinks, play some billiards, and some dancing
--Playing Magic the Gathering tournaments
--A lazy movie night and some video games
--A good night walk
--Preparing for an epic hike on Saturday
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
--I've had metal in my mouth for a long time: braces from age 9 to 18 and permanent retainer from 18 to present, totaling about 19 years.

--One of my favorite snacks is cereal, straight from the box. Somewhat healthy cereals too: Life, Chex, Mini-wheats, Bran Flakes.

--I understand this may be a deal breaker for many, but I'm a man that doesn't drink beer. Sure, I'll go to a brewery but I'll be the designated driver :D
You should message me if
--You think you have a great mix of nerdiness, athleticism, and passion for the outdoors.
