My self-summary
Happily in a relationship but I still enjoy looking at profiles and answering questions on this site.

I guess a good quote to sum me up would be "You probably wouldn't worry about what people think of you if you could know how seldom they do." - Olin Miller. I believe that this life it too short to get hung up on things that don't matter or that are out of our control.

I also believe that doing good is it's own reward and while there isn't a strict karmic balance to the universe that in general the principle of karma holds true. It just seems to me that negativity begets negativity and that kindness begets kindness. I lean to the liberal side of politics which I attempt to actively follow. While I'm left leaning I do consider myself a centrist in many ways.

I take my career seriously but I don't think my job defines me. I think it would be great to have a job that inspires me and that I woke up everyday excited to do but for me my job is something that I enjoy on most days and that provides me a comfortable living so that I can enjoy my hobbies.

As far as hobbies go I really enjoy live music, travel, biking, movies, and technology. I do have some geek tendencies but I'm also very social and probably go out on average of 3 or so nights a week.

I consider biking to be good exercise and and also very enjoyable. It is my primary mode of transportation during the warmer months. I haven't graduated to winter biking yet but maybe next year if I get better gear and we have less snow.
What I’m doing with my life
Working and playing mostly. I moved into the North Loop section of downtown Minneapolis last year and I've been enjoying how close i am to amazing restaurants, cultural activities, bars, and live music venues.

Trying to make sure that I balance my family and friends with my work is important to me but can be difficult when I travel for work. Luckily I've had it pretty easy for awhile now and most of my projects have been in town. Edit - Not so true anymore. I travel alot.

Trying to make time to travel for fun and day dreaming about the next trip. (Travel for fun is way different then work)

Also making time for exercise and treating my self well. As I get older it becomes more important for me to maintain myself. It's easy during the summer but the winter can be a challenge.
I’m really good at
Saying the wrong things at the wrong times but looking innocent when I do it. Figuring out the best way to fix my mistakes. Guessing what types of movies someone will enjoy. Many tech related things that probably don't matter to most people...well at least till they want me to fix their computer.
The first things people usually notice about me
To be honest they probably notice my short stature and then possibly my eyes. I have been told I have nice shoulders so maybe that as well.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This topic is pretty daunting so I'll come back to it.
Six things I could never do without
Not a fan of this question so I'll have to think about it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, gadgets, music, woman, work, but not in that order.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most Fridays I'm usually out catching bands at different venues around the Twin Cities. Most often some place like the Turf Club, Varsity Theater, Hexagon Bar or someplace similar.

I'm usually up for trying new restaurants or just generally hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've had strangers come up to me and tell me I look like Charlie Day. That may not be private but it is kind of embarrassing.
You should message me if
If I seem like somebody you would want to spend time with or if you're looking for somebody to explore the city with. I have to admit you probably should..I'm pretty fantastic.
