My self-summary
Hello. I'm Cody, a linguistic anthropologically inclined introvert, author, adventurer, Indo-Europeanist, invalid, INTP, outdoorsman, archer, and alliteration expert. Among many things. Whether or not I am the Kwisatz Haderach is a matter of debate.

A few things more or less dominate my life: literature (reading and writing), language (and the study thereof), gaming (video games and tabletops), and mountaineering (mountain climbing, rock climbing, etc.)

I'm wired funny and what some might call weird or different, but I don't care, I like it that way. They say I was raised by feral cats. There may be a modicum of truth to that.
What I’m doing with my life
What I'm currently doing with my life is trying to answer this very question. I have a multitude of goals, some easily obtained, others ridiculously unrealistic, but I have no central plan.

I'm working on finding one, at least one for the next few years. I've wandered aimlessly for too long and it's grown tiresome, so I'm looking for something to do with my life.

The only sure goal I have at the moment is I would like to join the SBSAR (Santa Barbara Search And Rescue) Team at some point in the next few years and so I am in the process of getting both physically and mentally fit to try out.
I’m really good at
I'd say my biggest skills are writing (both fiction and nonfiction) and language. I currently speak anywhere from bits and pieces to semi-fluency in, at last count, around twenty five languages and can read about eleven alphabets.

I'm, what a professor once called, a "linguistic savant". I can learn languages incredibly fast, take them apart, and understand their inner workings.

In addition I'm an OK artist, rock climber, juggler, archer, acrobat, swordsman, and web designer.
The first things people usually notice about me
More often than not, they don't. I'm highly forgettable and easily overlooked even at the best of times. It's not a rare occurrence that someone forgets I'm around. It's nothing I do consciously, I suppose I'm just quiet and avoid drawing any attention to myself.

When people do take notice of me the main things I've heard people comment on are either the intensity of the blue in my eyes or how long and/or soft my hair is.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
All manner of things. Whatever my current obsession is, though it usually eventually gets tied back in to linguistics or anthropology or something.
On a typical Friday night I am
On Fridays I usually end up reading or writing, perhaps playing a game, maybe watching a movie. Safest bet is reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I got a lot of mental disorders that I'm working on getting a grip on and not letting them control my life.
