My self-summary
I am a futurist/entrepreneur/engineer involved in many exciting projects with a focus in sustainability and social design. I love inspiring others, being creative and learning new things about the Earth and its inhabitants. My favorite activities include spending time outside (scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, biking, camping, beach-going), yoga, discussing philosophy and the past/future.
What I’m doing with my life
I've lived a pretty awesome and fulfilling life so far. I've had some great successes which allowed me to see a world out of reach to most people as well as a few epic failures which taught me about the fragility of the current socio-economic system. From these experiences I learned that how we currently do things is not sustainable, but also that by changing how we do things we can design a future that is better for everyone.

I'm working with a great team of people from all over the world to create an educational virtual reality simulation of how we can successfully live in the world in spite of climate change and technological unemployment (Humans Need Not Apply https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Pq-S557XQU ).

We are also setting up a sustainable community in Round Rock that demonstrates many of the technologies and solutions that will be in the simulation. The purpose of the Round Rock experiment is to create a learning center and community so people can see first hand what is possible and learn how to duplicate our work. I'm happy to give a tour to anyone interested our work, date optional.
I’m really good at
Solving design challenges, making people feel comfortable and re-igniting their interest to learn and be creative.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and eyes if I'm facing you, or my bubble butt if I'm not ;-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books. I read a lot about health, the environment, inventions, physics, and the future. Cradle to Cradle, Plato's Republic, Zero Marginal Cost Society, The Best that Money Can't Buy, Demon Haunted World: a Candle in the Dark, The Singularity is Near, Enchanted Objects, How to Live Long Enough to Live Forever, .

Movies: I enjoy Netflix documentary binges, The Matrix, Alice in Wonderland, Tomorrowland, V for Vendetta, Fight Club. The rabbit hole is deep my friends.

TV - Sherlock, Doctor Who, House of Cards, Archer, Cosmos.

Food - As long as it is healthy, I'll eat it. I have a very diverse palate. We plan on setting up some aquaponic systems soon to be able to provide a significant amount of our own foods.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How wonderful it would be if we all worked together to solve humanities challenges instead of competing over imaginary boarders.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm hoping to be able to answer this question in the near future, maybe with you.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I modeled in college and that lead to me being offered a job (which I refused) by a billionaire to be his eye candy while he traveled the world in the largest privately owned yacht, but I couldn't do it. There were strings...
