I like learning new things. either from books or from experiences. I'm a p adventurous person I guess.
I'm big on things that look nice/enjoy arranging artsy crap. I'm an artfag and I enjoy films, photography, music, TV Shows, food. I try to be less of a snob compared to how i come off. I guess you'd have to judge that.
I am feminine, though I look masc. Idk.
My gender is all over the place though I tend to identify more on the feminine side.
they/them/their if you're cis
she/her/hers if you're queer/trans or a cis person whom I trust/am comfortable with.
I like people specifically. Hate 'em generally.
This is my Photography . Idk i like showing off.
sagittarius sun / taurus rising / capricorn moon if any of that means things to you
but that's really about it. I wish I had more energy for things I enjoy, or at least things I used to enjoy. Depression kinda sucks all the fun out of stuff.
being critical of oppressive structures in our society;
being an artfag (love film/music/aesthetic);
emotions I guess;
Creativity in general.
People on the street seem to notice how much I talk to myself, and how quickly I get embarrassed about it.
After a while probably how easy it is for me to laugh.
And how I dance to songs in my head if I'm not really doing anything (just dawdling down the street or in the supermarket or something). I'm restless when standing still.
How much I like music
MOVIES:Too many to list... I enjoy sci-fi, and quirky, and independent pretentious films. Like really any genre will do it for me (mostly not horror though. That one is more difficult for me to enjoy because the plots are soo flat. There are a few that I enjoy, though)
I listed a few directors I enjoy below.
SHOWS: The Office; Parks and Rec; Archer; Bob's Burgers; X Files; Fringe; LOST; House of Cards; OITNB; Game of Thrones; Steven Universe; It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; Orphan Black; How to Get Away with Murder; Hannibal (so much queerbait tho).
DIRECTORS: Hayao Miyazaki; Denis Villeneuve; Xavier Dolan; Lars von trier; Steven Soderbergh; Sarah Polley
MUSIC: too many artists to list. Here's some off the top of my head: Flying Lotus/Captain Murphy; FKA Twigs; Bjork; Perfume Genius; Antony and the Johnsons; CocoRosie; Tim Hecker; Yamantaka//Sonic Titan; Austra; Trust; Feist; Dirty Beaches; Godspeed You! Black Emperor; Jordaan Mason; Alvvays; Little Dragon; Sexwitch; Lykke Li; Beach House; Alt-J; Mykki Blanco; Boards of Canada; Sigur Ros; Jennifer Castle; Grimes; The Knife; iamamiwhoami; Robyn; Beyonce; Nicki Minaj; Brian Eno; Jessie Ware; MIA; Owen Pallet; Purity Ring; Swans.
There's a lot more. AND it's always changing. if you want current updates on what I choose to put in my ears, check out last.fm/user/vanillamiinus
FOOD: Most things. I like spicy things. I try not to eat things from a box/ cook fresh for myself/loved ones as much as possible. I don't necessarily enjoy cooking, I just enjoy impressing people (though that can be said about most of my artistic endeavours. I feed off of praise)
some sort of will to live I guess? ;
the outdoors (I'm doing without it over the past few years and I am nottttt thriving);
someone to cook/care for.
Is there a universal truth we could all achieve through observation and objectivity? (nah. that's garbage)
Is there a universal truth nobody can access because everybody's perception has a bias due to socialization/environmental factors?
Or is there no universal truth at all, and is it just our perceptions of reality which determine personal truths, and can become collective truths in forming culture and society?
like this is me on a daily basis. Essentially me critiquing Eurocentric paradigm/worldview/framework and how it was colonized into this dominant way of thinking into epistemic colonialism/violence.
