My self-summary
I'm the Funky Dictator. I'm in touch with my inner Hawkman. I'm literate with an illiterate edge. I am reading Joseph Conrad and listening to the Isley Brothers right now, and if that doesn't meet your irony requirements, then I don't know what does.

I was raised in a pop culture vacuum and I guarantee I'll have no idea what you're talking about when you bring up your favorite contemporary band/TV show. That's why you're here, to educate me. In return, I can tell you how inflation, disinflation, and deflation works.

I love meeting new people. Let's go to a museum, a loft party, a BBQ, a live show, you name it. Anything creative or artistic. And any place we can talk and drink! I am very fond of a good conversationalist.

I am fantastic, angry, and handsome
What I’m doing with my life
Well, I work full-time as an admin for the law department of a major state-federal agency that keeps our airports and bridges running, but more importantly:

I'm in a band:

And I draw comics:

And I'm working on a few others things but, you know, we can discuss that on our date, right? Don't worry, I won't just talk about myself the whole time. I want to know what you're doing with your life too.

What little remains of my time is spent drinking, sleeping, eating, partying, trying to be outdoors, and reading, non-fiction mostly.
I’m really good at
Coming up with funky dance beats. Writing decent lyrics. Cuddling. Making a mixed cocktail consisting of vodka, grapefruit juice, tonic water, pomegranate juice and lemon juice. Drawing anthropomorphic cartoons. Analyzing your basic psyche and motivations. Keeping up with geopolitics. Having Walter Mitty moments. Workin' like a dog. Sleepin' like a log.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes. My smart mouth. My business casual attire.

Six things I could never do without
I'm sure not how to answer this, but whenever anything bad happens to my cats Marcel & Cindy, or my Logic/ProTools rig, I freak the hell out, and life comes to a grinding halt until I deal with the problem. Also I could use a damn raise, or some tax relief.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The hero's journey, girls, politics, history, economics and theology, girls, errands, music, the cosmogonic cycle, girls.
On a typical Friday night I am
I dunno... ever since Thursday became the new Friday I mostly take it easy on Friday proper. Of course, I'd rather be out playing live rock, but I can't find gigs for every week, sadly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was the reason for the band "Seal".
You should message me if
You are smart, charming, pretty, and do not play headgames. Let's go out!
