My self-summary
Disclaimer: I am neither vegan nor a Velociraptor.

Life has been an interesting ride so far. I have walked the path of excess and found crumbs of wisdom. I gazed into the abyss and the abyss looked the other way. I am a fun loving, adventure seeking, freespeaking guy who can keep you engaged in conversation for days.

I enjoy a loving, caring, ethically open marriage with primatology. If that's not how you roll, that's ok. We can be friends.

I think I'm pretty good at relationships, whether totally casual, deeply committed or anything in between. I've never been accused of being clingy nor aloof. I understand that arguments are not about winning but finding compromise, and I would much rather hurt someone with the truth than keep things hidden. I'm pathologically honest about what I think and feel; luckily, I'm not an asshole so I rarely hurt people's feelings.

TL/DR: Smart, kind, loving, sex/body/gender positive. Mostly harmless.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying it. I go around and carry a heartload of poetry instead of baggage.

I'm an educator who dabbles in science and beekeeping. In my free time I explore, both inwardly and outwardly.

I'm easily bored and not very good at sleeping, so I'm always looking for something else to do.
I’m really good at
Explaining things
Being levelheaded
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm foreign but they could never guess where I am from.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I think that the most influential authors in my life are Julio Cortázar, Jorge Luis Borges, Umberto Eco, Virginia Woolf, Neil Gaiman, Kurt Vonnegut, Alejandra Pizarnik, Douglas Adams, Edward O. Wilson, Jared Diamond, Marguerite Duras and Kobayashi Issa.

Movies: The Colors Trilogy, Kung Fu Hustle, the movies of Akira Kurosawa, Jim Jarmusch, Jon Cassavetes, Ray Harrihausen, several superhero movies and cult classics such as Conan the Destroyer and Reservoir Dogs.

Music: Mostly contemporary classical (I never liked the oxymoron, but what can you do?), metal and jazz. There are several South American singer songwriters who can make me cry. I love Fado, Tango and The Blues. I never get tired of Andrés Calamaro, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen.

Shows: Samurai Champloo, Game of Thrones, Daredevil, Attack on Titan, Westworld, anything by Chuck Jones.

Food: An adventurous eater, I am always eager to learn how to make or enjoy great food. I am a decent baker and good cook. I love spices and well crafted beer.
Six things I could never do without
Late night conversations
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth."
-Umberto Eco
On a typical Friday night I am
doing the usual things that people in Brooklyn do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a sitzpinkler, and proud of it.
