My self-summary
Greetings OkCupidians, I'm a not-so-new immigrant to this land of stars and spangles with a great love for all kinds of music and a delight in subculture-hopping. I'm a strange mixture of child and adult. As an adult woman I've become more driven, goal oriented and a little(ok a lot) cynical. As a child I'm awed by the world, fascinated with the journey and awfully impatient for more. I also enjoy moments of disconnection with my journey where I just laze out and listen to music, play games or watch MST3K for hours. And while I appreciate money for how it allows me to achieve my dreams, I don't care for it in particular, valuing my free time very highly.

I am quite silly and LOVE both laughing and making others laugh.
I’m really good at
Trying new things, procrastinating, picking up things, smiling. I also seem to have a natural advantage with History and languages.

Nicknames and new terms for things naturally pop into my brain and I seem to have a definite drive for nomenclature and terminology in all areas of knowledge I come in contact with.

I'm good at taking pictures. I wish my eyes were digital cameras as well so I wouldn't have to carry mine everywhere (go cyborgization!).

Not to be left out I often annoy my friends with situation-appropiate song quotes which I promptly sing to them, so I am good at remembering these silly things. The Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment soundtracks are particular favorites.

I'm not really good at it, but I love music and like to play the harmonica.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm approachable, yet not within grasp; that I'm pretty tall; that I smile a buncha and that I space out; that I often sing obscure music bits or quote movies; that I seem to know about a lot of stuff both illuminated and arcane.

In short, most people would say I'm a knowledge nerd but I identify mostly with a geek-dork mix.

The Sun, my loved ones, curiosity, exploration, art in all of its forms, freedom.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
History; the archetypes of the universe; games; art; photography; where I'm going; shtuff
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably hanging out with a friend, watching something or maybe playing something. I love to dance but there's not a lot of places playing music I like. Frankly, crowds usually bore me anyway.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
* I'm a big spelling nazi. On the other hand, I do enjoy greatly alternate phrasing styles, neologisms, ironic double entendres, etc. when done artistically or for effect (i.e. CONSCIOUSLY).

* I teeter between shyness and extroversion though I can seem a little *too* quiet upon first meetings and received as weird and standoffish. I don't object to the first, but the second's not really me in general ;P

* If I were to be put into a category of social role, I'm probably (once I warm up) "the silly one".

* I believe I am more "European" than "American" in my views of politics, society, culture, etc. I'd love to live there in the not too distant future. Though I have to say I feel more like a "citizen of the world" than anything. I love culture but I'm not into nationalism at all.

* I'm actually 5' 11" 1/2 but OKC doesn't take halves.

* I wear glasses (OMG SHE SAID IT)
You should message me if
You like the weird, the unusual and the mysterious. You carry an unconcealed sense of humour and a brain and you're not afraid to use them. You like knowledge for knowledge's sake. You like talking about the arts. You can surprise me, make me laugh and/or teach me something. You're not a Republican/right wing libertarian type.
