I am excellent at observing situations, technical problems, issues, etc., and breaking them down to solutions. And simple, straightforward ones at that.
I am very good at process, defining processes to getting things accomplished and on schedule. Also very good at communication, being able to take complex or complicated subjects and give them words and making them understandable. Skilled at presentations, great in front of an audience.
Given this, I am a good communicator in general; a good listener, always interested in understanding people and taking the time to do it. And being open and honest about myself, being able (or at least trying like heck) to describe what I'm thinking, feeling, seeing.
Have 25+ years experience in project management in highly technical complex fields. I have had extensive experience in international work with foreign governments, that leads to a lot of interesting travel.
(and, passion. Really.)
I am a slut for good movies, old, new, foreign, comedy, suspense, art, etc. Just caught up on The Third Man again, and recently caught Tinker Tailor..., Much Ado About Nothing, Hugo, The Artist; The Secretary (again), I am Love, Ides of March, The Black Swan. Anything from Woody Allen to Almodovar to the Coen Brothers. Almost anything with Tilda Swinton or Jeremy Irons. Two not-so-known greats I can think of off the top of my head is The Lives of Others and The Secret in Their Eyes. Both stunning!
My music goes a broad spectrum, from Tom Waits, Thelonius Monk, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Art Pepper, Bill Evans, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald, Neco Case, B52's, Rolling Stones, to Europa Galante, Vassen, Aly Bain, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and most anything in between. That said, I love jazz of all styles, with some of the older stuff (1970 on back), really shaking my tree. Not much for rap, but if you can dance a groove to it...
And dance!! Anything. Rock, swing, sleaze, reggae, blues, the two-step, waltz, polka, etc., etc., etc. I was raised by dancers, and it's been an infection since birth. If I could choose how to die, if not peacefully in my sleep let it be either in bed (engaged) or on a dance floor!
As a point of clarification on some of the detailed questions, I'm really only "rarely" in drugs, and only on a 420-friendly basis. I've had some wild experimenting when I was young, but not for a long while now.
Music, good wine, great sex, good movies, the perfect cocktail (probably a Manhattan or something close), a good pair of walking shoes, dancing.
I know that's more then six but I don't care: this shit is important!

"If it takes a near death experience for you to appreciate your life, your wasting someone's time." Nikki Giovanni
And, as a counterpoint, I can be an old-school type romantic with all the trimmings! But, again, for the right person (you won't necessarily see me wearing it on my sleeve.)
I am open to a companion, a lover, a partner, a commitment, as long as it is of quality, substance and passion!
