I bet you’ve never met someone who used to work in both fine art and explosives. Now I have my dream job, where I enjoy the perfect mix of negotiations, technology, and helping other people. I also volunteer with a wonderful Keeshond rescue group. The feeling I get when I help a pup find a safe, loving home is the absolute best! Still, I enjoy just wandering around museums, walking through the crunch of fall leaves, and holding your hand on the beach while we cuddle under a blanket. Let’s go listen to live jazz at The Dakota, or have lunch by the fireplace at Red Stone on a snowy day. I’ll bake you the perfect carrot cake. I’ll send you a care package when you get sick on a business trip. I’ll text you with our inside jokes, just because. When I’m with you, I always feel safe, knowing you’ll take care of me. Even when we have a disagreement, I’ll kiss your cheek so we remember that we want the best for each other. The only thing I'm sorry about is that I didn't meet you sooner, so I could have loved you even longer.
You’ll suddenly lean in to kiss me, then look into my eyes to say you couldn’t have waited another moment. You inspire me to dance and sing along with you, even though you know I can be shy. You always make friends with people at the bar while we’re waiting for our table. You make sure I get out of the cab on the sidewalk side. You’ll plan us a trip to Northern California, and arrange for my son to come along and surprise me. You impress all my co-workers at the office party with your storytelling. You’re always learning new things, and you get excited to share your knowledge with me. You want to go to Northfield to watch the shootout re-enactment on Jesse James Day. You often tell me what you love about me, from my personality, to my body, to the way I speak. You meet me at the airport when I get back from a conference and kiss me like no one’s watching. You try to help others feel more comfortable when they’re unhappy. You’re ready to build something lasting together, because you know life is more fun when you share it with someone else.
Recently older movies are my preferred genre...there's something more real about them.
Love to read just about anything, depending on the day and my mood.
Other things include: IPhone, laptop, things left to me by my great aunt and grandmother, a comfortable home, a fireplace at the moment, and an iPad on which I read.
Please message me if you'd like to spend time telling me about yourself over coffee/a drink, or while wandering through a museum, or listening to live music (though perhaps quiet so I can hear you).
