My self-summary
One of my goals is to visit all of the National Parks in the US. Hopefully I can knock a few more off the list this summer.

I am very interested in the following subjects: geology, natural history, geography, and the history of New York City. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the aforementioned subjects.

I try not to take myself too seriously. I don't like being around people who do.
What I’m doing with my life
I think I'm beginning to understand what I truly want in my life and am trying to create it.

I love the outdoors and am trying to spend as much time enjoying the wilderness as possible. My couch potato ways still have a strong hold on me but I'm slowly trying to change that.
I’m really good at
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some of my favorite books include Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher, Don Quixote, Oil!, and Gotham: A History of New York City to 1898. I have to read every night before I go to bed.

One of my favorite directors is David Lynch. I will always love him for creating Twin Peaks! Some movies that I can watch again and again: Rudy, The Big Lebowski, Office Space (which is really resonating with me right now), and Clue.

My favorite channel is Antenna-tv. I'm a sucker for old tv shows! Some of my all-time favorite shows include Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, King of the Hill, Psych, and Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated.

I love jazz music! Favorite musicians include: Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughan, Yusef Lateef, Grant Green, Charles Mingus, Dinah Washington, Jimmy Scott, Ahmad Jamal, and Horace Silver. I could go on and on but I'll stop there. Other bands/musicians who hold a special place in my heart: Minutemen, Gang of Four, Calexico, Menomena, Angelo Badalamenti, The Dismemberment Plan, Richard Hawley, Van Morrison, and The Waterboys.

When it comes to food, I like to stay in my comfort zone. However, I'm trying to branch out more as I get older. I'll never turn down sushi or Greek.
