Former full-time faculty at the Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Photographic Arts & Sciences, former editor at U.S. News & World Report.
What I’m doing with my life
Finishing up a 11 year long documentary photography project about the old coal and steel towns of southwestern Pennsylvania. Book edit in the works. Published a book about the Fayette County, Pennsylvania Fair ( edited from 8 years of photography ). For the last several years I was back at RIT teaching documentary photography and editing for multimedia.
Currently in Philadelphia working on several book projects.

I think that is best answered by folks that "notice" me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
New York Times, Washington Post, The New Yorker, NPR, PBS, jazz, folk, classical. Vietnamese, Thai to list just two. Enjoy cooking and baking. Have no problems keeping kitchen clean and doing the dishes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the next long-term project will be is a big question. Current thinking is photographing rural life in western New York ( centered in the county of Wyoming).
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending time with friends, if I'm not out and about photographing.
