My self-summary
I'm trying to find a balance between the serious and the silly. I care a lot about social justice and systemic change, but I also just goof around and make art. Other important stuff: I am very political, so if you don't identify as radical or left-wing, this probably won't work.
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Toronto for a government-y type job.
I’m really good at
The one-liner. I might be quiet in some conversations, but I do come out with snappy zingers at a reliable rate. I'm also a good listener, with a fairly high success rate of suppressing glib one-liners when they aren't appropriate.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a deep voice, that is marked by a sort of personal accent of mine. I enunciate very clearly, and always have. It's charming, I swear.

Coetzee, Larry's Party by Carol Shields, anything about Chinese or Canadian history, Bowling Alone by Thomas Putnam, 1984 by George Orwell (I don't care if everyone has to read it in high school, its a good book and I'm standing by it!), Happiness (TM) by Will Ferguson, Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham, The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck.

Favorite Movies:
The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Spirited Away, Ghostworld, Adaptation, Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, Sideways, Jurassic Park

Six things I could never do without
1. People
2. Some sort of 'quest' to be working over in my mind
3. Places to explore
4. Books
5. Optimism!
6. A clay parrot I call "the Kenta Bird"
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends, either at a house party or at a show, or maybe the theatre. In the late afternoon I was probably lying on the couch either reading or watching Thursday night's episode of Parks and Recreation.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Me, at my worst moments, could easily be described as Nixonian.
