My self-summary
I'm a country boy that prefers the city at this point in my life. I grew up in the middle of nowhere, moved away for school then spent a couple years living abroad travelling the world just to find myself back near family trying to find my place. I don't know if Rochester will be the place that eventually gets me to settle down but I'm here for now. Wherever I do end up, my heart will always be in Western NY and my soul wandering the world.
I'm a fiercely logical. I really enjoy discussion and debate about really anything. Some people take that as being argumentative and I try to keep it in check, I just like playing Devils advocate. My opinions and beliefs are very flexible but I'm going to make you work for it.
I also tend to be quite whimsical to a fault. I'm not a big planner, more of a leaf in the wind. I love random weekend trips planned on Friday afternoons or just walking in a random direction and stumbling on some of the most interesting things and meeting some of the most interesting people.
I'm a strong believer in the cliche "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." There's little I love more than things and people that push me to do things I've never done before. I've been parasailing, sky diving, ice climbing, scuba diving, sub zero camping, absailing, swimming with sharks and a handful of other things that frankly terrify me at times. I love travelling to see everything this world has to offer and making the most of what we have right here. I'll try anything twice, once to get over the fear and once to really experience it.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm really just trying to figure out which direction I want to take my life. I'm working at a local Medical records company and focusing on the non-working related side of my life for the first time in a while. I have a new puppy that takes up most of my time in the evenings right now. She's a 3 month old Husky so tiring her out is a full time job in itself.
I’m really good at
I'd like to think I'm a pretty good cook. I love spending a couple hours listening to some good music, sipping on a good drink and cooking up a delicious meal for friends or a girl. I do cook for myself but it's much more fun cooking with someone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm horrible with making lists because I like different things better for different reasons and it changes all the time but I'll give it a shot.

The six things I could never do without
Family: While I've spent a lot of time really far from my family, they will always be at the top of my list. One of the things I regret most about travelling is having to watch my niece grow up through a computer screen.

Nature: Even though I prefer to live in a city right now, I could never live without at least having access to nature. Whether it's hiking in the woods, kayaking down a stream, or skiing down a mountain, there's nowhere I feel more at peace than out in nature.

Books: "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, a man who never reads lives only one."

Me Time: While I love being with people, going out into the world and meeting everyone, I'm still an introvert at my core. I can go a long time out among the masses but eventually I have to come back home to recharge.

Animals: While my pup is a new addition to the household, I've had cats and dogs my whole life and love animals of every variety.

New experiences: I never want to get to the point in my life when it's the same thing every day, every week, every year. There is so much out there still left to do, it's a travesty to waste it doing the same things for the rest of your life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Who would win in a fight, a polar bear or a Siberia tiger?
On a typical Friday night I am
Lately it's been a lot of staying in playing with the pup since she's been home alone all day. It normally varies a lot though. I'm perfectly happy cuddling up watching a movie, going to play some darts with friends, going on a random trip, or even staying home alone and playing video games. During the summers I'm often out on conesus lake though.
