I enjoy hanging out with friends, hiking the mountains, riding my bike, casually swimming, and walking the board walk at the beach.
My main focus on this site is to find someone to settle down, start a family, and spend the rest of my life with.
As for what I'm looking for, my list is huge and contradictory. I tend to see myself with one of three types of women:
1) Businesswoman - a company owner or MBA type who understands the work it takes to build something. Families are essentially a type of corporation, and will grow best with investment, energy, and planning.
2) Family-oriented. My search for this type of woman is predominantly outside of the U.S. I'm sure these women exist in the U.S., but they are already married at my age. Я немного понимаю по-русский. Я хочу знать больше.
3) Intellectual - someone who enjoys discussing philosophy, psychology, science, etc.
I've also started branching out and using my skills and ideas to start a business of my own, so that I can achieve financial independence.
A few years ago I started exercising and made permanent changes in my diet to help get myself back in shape. I've lost a lot of weight, and more impressively, successfully kept it off. I'm still slowly losing weight at a healthy rate towards my goal, but I can confidently now mark my profile as no longer "obese" or "extra", as I'm in what's considered "Normal" body fat now =)
My calm demeanor: I do not get angry.
Logical and insightful: I actually win arguments with women, AND make them happy about it.
Meditative, firm grasp of human psychology. I actually understand how to create happiness, and how to bring someone to a state of peace.
I am also a bit of a study in contradictions:
I am simultaneously progressive and traditional/old-fashioned.
I have a dominant personality, and choose to put others first.
I want a passionate, kinky sexual relationship, in which the sex is secondary to more important, solid aspects like dedication and devotion.
I suppose what's really important is what I see in myself. That can be summed up in three words:
CHIVALRY, CHIVALRY, CHIVALRY!!! This is my highest calling in life, not just towards dating, but in all aspects. To me, this means putting someone ahead of one's self in order to do what is the right thing.
Movies = The Truman Show, Gattaca,The Neverending Story, Star Wars, 50 First Dates, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter... pretty much anything sci-fi or fantasy. I also like dramas.
Music - I can't get through my day without some Lady Gaga, P!NK, Shakira, Rhianna, or Sara Bareilles
Google: Why read/keep a book when you can look up almost anything you ever want to know within a matter of seconds?
Family: I love my parents, and I don't know what I'd do without them.
Friends: I don't have a whole lot of friends, but the few I do have mean the world to me.
Work: While goals tend to give work direction, it is work itself that makes life meaningful.
Vegetables. Seriously. I'm not a vegetarian (although maybe some day). I eat about as many raw vegetables as a human being should eat, and it blows people's minds.
It sounds cliche, but if I could get out of my life right now and do it all over, I'd just want to be an EMT or firefighter. Financial success is empty.
