My self-summary
My friends are awesome. My family, specifically my seesters, are my life. My cats are cuter than yours.

I met my super awesome boyfriend on here. Yeah. Thanks for that, okcupid. :D

I love to read - mostly from the fantasy/sci-fi genre. I also love watching movies while laying in bed. Music DVDs are awesome; concerts or videos, either or. Board games and/or card games are another obsession for me. If anyone ever suggests a game, I'm down. Cranium and Apples to Apples are my favorites. I've been going out dancing with my seesters recently. We go to bars in the area where 90s cover bands play. It's especially nice to go to a place in Philly where there's no smoking indoors. If you know of any good cover bands that play in the area, you should give me a heads up. :)

I've got nine tattoos. I love all of them. I generally like body modification, as long as it means something.

My sisters and I speak in movie quotes pretty much ALL THE TIME. We tried to go a whole day without quoting a movie but we didn't last more than half an hour.

I am funny as balls, a crazy cat lady, and a definite homebody
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to sort things out in my brain and trying to help others sort their brains out too; living, loving, growing; stressing about getting old; talking to my cats; daydreaming; dancing; hanging out with my seesters; listening to music at different volume levels, depending on my mood; taking car rides.

I've decided to go back to school since my awesome job will totally pay for me to do it. I've also been "professionally developing" at said job which sounds mega lame, but is actually very exciting to me. I'm one of those people who are lucky enough to really love their job.

I'm building an amazing life with my boyfriend. I've never been with someone I've felt more comfortable with.
I’m really good at
Board games! I rock karaoke, too. I'm awesome at doing laundry. Laundromats are some of the most magical places in the world to me. Also, I'm the best hula-hooper you've ever heard of. I love playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Parallel parking. Most importantly, though, I make people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have no idea anymore. People used to say that I came off as confident. I don't know if that still stands. Physically, though, I guess you'd notice that I'm pretty small in general. Short of height, average of weight. Oh, and I have freckles that I think are pretty cute. But I guess that's not what people notice about me first. You kinda have to be up in my grill to notice those.

You also might notice my ridiculously loud belly laugh. It's almost a guffaw. I've gotten more than one dirty look in diners or movie theaters for laughing as loud as I do when I find something really funny. People are often surprised at this huge sound coming out of someone as small as I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books are fucking amazing. I love reading and I always have. American Gods by Neil Gaiman is my favorite book. It's really awesome, especially if you're already interested in mythology and religion. I like classic books like Catcher in the Rye, 1984, and To Kill A Mocking Bird. I love the kinds of books where character development and plot lines take a long time to unfold. My favorite series are the Wheel of Time, Harry Potter, Wraeththu.

My favorite movie of all time is the Princess Bride. Among my favorites are the Big Lewbowski, Death to Smoochy, the Matrix, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Pi, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Wayne's World, Finding Neverland, The 'Burbs, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Basket Case, Kung-Fu Hustle, the People Under the Stairs, Edward Scissorhands, the Sandlot, Hook, Suicide Kings, Say Anything, the Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Shrek and Shrek 2, Moulin Rouge, Finding Nemo, the Goonies, Superbad, Grandma's Boy, Stardust, and loads of Disney ones, Sleeping Beauty being my favorite Disney.

My favorite band ever is the Beatles. You just can't top them as far as simple yet beautiful melodies. Have you ever listened to Dear Prudence while driving around on a spring afternoon with the windows down on a sunny day? If you have, then you know why they're my favorite band. It really makes you appreciate the fact that you're alive and experiencing the world. Another band that makes me feel that way is Tool. I guess they're more of a driving around with the windows down at night during the summertime band, though. For me, anyway. Their music has inspired me in more ways than I can really express. Go drop a few hits of acid and check them out, though. You won't regret it. Ani DiFranco, Talking Heads and David Byrne's solo stuff, Tori Amos, Radiohead, Dead Can Dance, Cat Power, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, Simple Kid, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Bjork, the Cure, Counting Crows, the Bloodhound Gang, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Jimi Hendrix, Aqua, Carina Round, Muse, PJ Harvey, and Janis Joplin make regular appearances on my iPod, too. My favorite song ever is Mercy Street by Peter Gabriel, and if you haven't heard it, then go do it. NOW.

I am a food-obsessed person. I love eating. Thai is my favorite ethnic food... tofu sweet basil from the Nooddi Bar, a thai place near my hice, is my favorite food in the entire universe. Followed closely by my dad's fried rice and adobo. I've also recently become obsessed with crab cakes.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
My cats. Some way to work the word "barnacle" into my everyday vocabulary. I think a lot about food, too. I'm really glad that humans eat for pleasure as well as sustenance. All the time, I'm thinking about music. Trying to figure out how to grow up without having to "grow up." I think about how fast time flies by and how you really do feel like it's faster when you're older. I think a lot about how blessed I am to have my family and friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
I might be watching TV on DVD or a movie with my girls or Joe. Or reading incessantly. Or going out to eat by myself, or with people. Or tooling around on the internet. Or out dancing. I'm almost guaranteed to be making someone laugh, even if I'm by myself. Especially if I'm by myself.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really am a 70-year-old woman inside the body of a 26-year-old woman.

I don't drink cuz I am a mutant and I lack the enzyme that breaks alcohol down properly. I don't do drugs anymore because I think I've gotten everything I can out of them.

I am pretty boring compared to other girls my age. Sometimes it bothers me, but most of the time I'm okay with it.

I have trouble sleeping in total quiet and darkness.

I get really excited when I get to stay in a hotel.

I am stuck in the 90s.

I'm also closet goth.
