My self-summary
Just moved to Beijing from good ol midwest USA where I've worked my ass off in food service for almost 9 years. Why am I in Beijing? That's a good question.
I like to wander around by myself and make faces at small children.
What I’m doing with my life
Feeling guilty about having such an easy, life.
Disappointing my Mother.
I’m really good at
Poorly improvising your name into karaoke songs.
Also all time world champion of bananagrams and drunk bananagrams. And it's NOT because I cheat...Who have you been talking to?
Making cocktails. Years of bartending and access to a vast herb garden will do that.
The first things people usually notice about me
Whatever I'm feeling/thinking is painted all over my face. I'm a terrible liar and can't conceal any emotion.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Blogs. I read lots of blogs. I have to be careful when I'm online because I slip into these internet fugue states and come to 4 hours later with like 20 tabs open, feeling very concerned about US-Myanmar relations and knowing the names of every Kardashian.
Sometimes I get suckered into watching a rerun of The Price is Right while my mom and sister scream at the T.V.
I know a lot about beer and I love to drink it. Quiz me.
The six things I could never do without
I feel like I could live with a lot less than I have, so let's change this to, "things I desperately want but don't have do to financial/practical reasons"
1. A dog to squeeze and love
2. Good, reliable source of coffee
3. Nearby body of water
4. Ice
5. A blender
6. http://flipflask.com/
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spent a lot of time trying to come up with an appropriate username for this website, but ended up defaulting to the tag I used for online poker. OkCupid will tell you- I'm not very creative.
On a typical Friday night I am
Previously I was working hard trying to charm bar patrons out of their hard earned cash, but since switching jobs and having Friday night off, I realize I have no idea what real people do on Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I steal pieces of chocolate from those bulk dispensers when I grocery shop alone.
You should message me if
You've ever done anything interesting/stupid/novel. I love that kind of stuff. Lay it on me.

You have some secret Beijing gem you want to share...
