I'm a very friendly and outgoing guy that genuinely likes helping others. I very social, and can typically be found out with friends, either playing bar trivia, having game nights, seeing a theatre production, hashing (- the running group, not drugs), chilling at the lake, and on and on. I'm best known for a.) my Rumcakes, which I'm always looking for an excuse to make, b.) as an excellent person to blow off steam with, usually via a good laugh, and c.) for an ear (I'm currently amassing the largest collection of blackmail ever!).
What am I looking for?
I'm looking for crazy that goes with mine. I love a good sense of humor and a strong wit. Someone intelligent, enjoys nerdy things, and enjoys a night out on the town when the mood takes them would be my Sun and my Stars.
(a) I'm an avid reader, enjoying everything from SciFi (Ender's Game Series) to fantasy (GoT, Kingkiller Chronicles) to pop fiction (Anita Blake, Dresden Files), and many more.
(b) I'm always down for a good movie, be it a quality classic (The Goonies, Evil Dead, Ferris Bueller, The Princess Bride), a geeky action ( The Dark Knight, The Avengers), feel-good movies (American Beauty, Devil's Advocate, Saved, Dr.Horrible's Sing-along Blog), or anything by Kevin Smith.
(c) I prefer 90s rock, but aren't too picky. My pandora bounces between Tori Amos, Nirvana, U2, David Bowie, Moby, The Cranberries, and Ramstein (plus most things in between).
(d) I often cook, and my favorites tend towards the spicy. My gym mates all call me rumcake after the delicious edible sponge of alcohol I make for parties. Also, I'm often down for some Sushi!
I casually started a convo with a stranger here because we had similar interests at the time. We had similar tastes in movies and music, and we were both into counterstrike (an old shoot'em up computer game). After a couple weeks, rather than meeting for the first time over coffee, I invited her to a LAN party to geek out over computer games. Unsure at first (who wouldn't be nervous meeting a stranger at a private home ), her boredom won out and she convo'd me for the address.
Of all the places in the entire city of Omaha, she was in the house next door. We both walked out onto each house's porch, and we were right next to each other! How does that happen? It was so weird!!
