My self-summary
As a TLDR; I am in an open relationship with a fantastic lady, whom I adore. I'm very happy with this arrangement, and not looking to modify it. For those who are fine with that, please continue...

Writing about yourself seems such a ridiculous exercise. I can't imagine being anything but too close to the subject to be objective or accurate. Still, we do what we must...

A study in contradictions perhaps. I prefer to think of myself as a whole person, and a whole always contradicts itself. I am a warm and loving person, but also introspective and aloof. Intelligent and animalistic, sophisticated and crude, Jekyll and Hyde. It's always been a challenge to integrate and reconcile these traits.
Pretentious, yes, but so it is.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a tech man by trade, but my passion is art and aesthetics. I have a flair for the unique, so am in the continual process of forming and reforming the space around me to suit my vision. I don't really consider a day well used unless I've had the time and energy to devote a good part of it to some creative pursuit. I make an exception for spending time with friends, as that's always a worthwhile thing, but I still prefer to entice people into one of my activities.
I’m really good at
I'm DIY everything. I have a large number of crafts and hobbies that I indulge in. I like to find the artistry in everything, whether it's carving an interesting art piece, preparing good meals, or just doing renovations well. There are things that simply must be done in life, but anything that is enjoyable can be done to the utmost of your enthusiasm for it.
The first things people usually notice about me
They always see the shaved head first. I get a lot of people saying I look like Billy Corgan, which is a compliment, I suppose, but I've heard it all before. "Hey Moby!" "Nosferatu!" yes, yes...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I read too many damn books to list 'em off.. My current obsessive reading subject is Alchemy and the Black Plague. I'm a big fan of Medieval and Renaissance imagery, so this is no surprise. My all time favorite literary work is still Camus' "The Stranger". I like straight forward existentialism.

Movies: Pretty much any depressing art house types. Noi the Albino, Baxter, My Dinner with Andre, May, etc... If it's Icelandic, pretentious, and bleak, you can bet it's a favorite. I also like to watch a lot of B horror flicks, love the stuff.

Music: God Speed you Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-la-la band (with choir), The Cure, Current 93, Morrisey, And One, Leonard Cohen, Mind Static, Just about anything '80s. Sopor Aeternus (in small prescribed doses), Then of course all the standards, (Depeche Mode etc...). I also love high-energy punk/psychobilly and nerd-punk (Dead Milkmen, etc.). Again, my tastes run pretty wide.

Food: I'm mostly a fiend for Indian foods, with Ethiopian/West African being favorites as well. Other than that my fondness is for Korean and Middle Eastern, although my time in New Mexico gave me the a great appreciation for green chili everything.

I'm also a big fan of DIY herbal teas and liquors, so there's seldom a shortage of questionably marked bottles of things in the house.
Six things I could never do without
I kind of hate this question, as no one is guaranteed their needs. I list instead what I find makes a life good for me.

My creative space and tools
The company of good friends
A passionate partner
Tomes of forgotten lore
Good food and drink
Moving music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My mind is incredibly random. The thoughts, they never stop... I'm usually thinking obsessively about whatever current project has caught my interest, musing philosophically, or just dwelling on some warped topic.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes out with friends, sometimes in my workshop making something. It's a wild rock star life I life, to be sure.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I admit to nothing Officer...
You should message me if
You watch movies hoping the villain gets away in the end. If you are a person who can catch my interest (and my interests are wide so try.)
