My self-summary
I can be pretty intense and in my own world sometimes, but if I care about a person, they come first.

I have two bachelor's degrees from the University of Washington: Business Admin (Accounting) and Biology.

I am not using either degree now. Working in a bookshop is oddly pleasant and relaxing, once you grasp the fineness of its fabric. However, this occupation is unsustainable, since the pay is so meager. Bernie Sanders knows that whereof he speaks.

Also from the UW, I have a certificate in screenwriting. More significantly, I have one finished screenplay under my belt. A Western. It's going to be a great film, if I get serious.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in bookshop. My specialty is the "literature" section; "literature" being a vague term (related to "literate" and "literati" i.e., terms denoting a high degree of cultural awareness and insight) which is meant to connote a certain high-minded nobility of purpose underlying the artist's virtuosity, as well as the moving artistry and authentic expressivenes embodied in each included writer's oeuvre, or at least some fraction thereof . This label could also be taken to mean that these are books by real artists worthy of an educated person's devoted appreciation. It can all be pretty snobby, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to it. There are geniuses in any field of endeavor, and their babies are my flock (ask yourself what kind of person would have written the preceding paragraph; ask yourself if you'd like to meet that person in a well-lit, public location with well-marked exits and clean door-knobs).
I’m really good at
...English.
...science.

...subtly suggesting you take your business elsewhere if you give any guff to myself or my most favored co-workers.

Please note: Although it's flattering, please don't contact me if you don't live on O'ahu or at least plan on moving here soon. Even if you're just looking to make new friends, please restrain yourself. I prefer making friends with people I can realistically meet in person.
