My self-summary
I like writing, but have been told my profile was long-winded. Here's "me lite."

ENFP. 5' 11"

I'm a gentleman who knows how to treat people. I'm fiercely loyal. I run & bike. Love to travel (as often as I can). Self-sufficient (cook well, keep clean, etc.) but prefer to share my life.

I'm aware of my place in the universe and am humble, but I don't sell myself short.

I'm well educated and open minded.

I'm a naturalized US citizen, and I challenge you to guess where I was born.
What I’m doing with my life
Paying the Bills - Founding partner in a technology management consulting / recruiting / training company. I also write code for fun and profit.

Keeping Life Interesting - Distance running, distance cycling, yoga, and practice meditation. Cooking, eating out, seeing plays, live music, live comedy. Travel: I love it and have done a lot of it, both for work and for fun. I've been to every continent except Australia and Antarctica. I have family in Europe, the US, and Africa.

What Do I Want to Accomplish? - I truly want to leave the world a better place than I found it. I have big ideas and work toward them earnestly. In the shorter term, I have a new building to finish rehabbing, fun side gigs for friends whose businesses and/or non-profits I'm helping to launch, and my tiny family to tend to and help grow.
I’m really good at
I'm a problem solver -- both in my personal and professional life. If I had a mob nickname, it would be "The Expeditor." When people I know need a problem solved, they think of me first.

I'm also really good at NOT telling lies. I haven't lied to a rational person in more than 20 years. Feel free to ask me about this.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have well developed social skills - witty conversation, fun to flirt with, and an ability to put folks at ease.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Reading - Mostly non-fiction, I have lists if you're interested.

TV / Movies - I seldom watch TV, but again, I have lists if you're interested. I dig horror movies -- but have been known to laugh inappropriately or say "that's AWESOME!" when the gags are just too over the top. "The Man Who Fell to Earth" made me cry - my brain chemistry might have been altered at the time. ;)

Music - I enjoy almost every kind of music there is... country less than the rest, but will definitely sing some Johnny Cash on Karaoke Night.

Food - I like to cook, and to eat out (most any cuisine). Ask me out somewhere and I'm likely to say "yes"!
The six things I could never do without
Curiosity + Science.
Having love in my life.
Beauty in all its forms.
My sense of humor.
Furry things.
A tall ship and a star to steer her by.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Which song shall I sing next?
On a typical Friday night I am
Party time or chill time. ...sometimes both, depending on who calls.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Without lists and calendaring I'd be an organizational train-wreck.
You should message me if
You want to get to know a cool cat. :)
