My self-summary
Whimsical and irreverent, I ride bikes, grow/ ferment food and wander. Adventurous and impulsive at times, I can be easily convinced to try something new. I'd like to think I have the capacity to always enjoy the fumbles that come with learning new skills. I recently left Corvallis after six years to live on the farm of my dreams.

I revel in the beauty of simple things.

In school I studied botany and soil science. I'm currently fostering a career as a mad botanist-farmer.
What I’m doing with my life
Starting a farm in the good earth of the valley. Building, clearing, planning, dreaming to create a good farm and home.
I’m really good at
Seeing the good in every person or situation.
Getting side-tracked/wandering off when a plant catches my eye.
Speaking chicken
Riding a bike without holding the handlebars.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't really know but probably my height and smile, maybe the
freckles in summer, but that's purely speculation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read books for fun when I can, preferably in a hammock.
Wendell Berry is among my favorites.

I do have a wide ranging taste in music, anything genuine I am likely to enjoy. I have a vinyl collection and tend to be stricken with musical obsessions.
The six things I could never do without
These things I think i could do without if I really had to, but I sure do enjoy:
My Bike
Chaco Sandals
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Plants and fungi, impossibly small complicated things, how people lived before modern conveniences, bird songs and the Amazon Rain Forest.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out having an adventure of some sort.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I fall asleep very easily almost anywhere, including on top of mountains, under buses (yes, a parked bus), up in trees, in class. With that I have a talent for talking/singing and turning off alarm clocks in my sleep.
I'd like to think it's a sign of a clear conscience or the ability to be comfortable anywhere; but maybe I'm just a borderline narcoleptic.
You should message me if
You prefer the out-of-doors above all.
You want to grow food, ferment or ogle plants.
You possess the ability to string words together into coherent sentences. Punctuation is hot.

Maybe just something about me piques your interest. Give it a try, I'll respond in like.
