My self-summary
I'm outgoing and make friends with just about everybody. I LOVE to travel and have lived all over the U.S., France and Chile. I speak French, Spanish and English fluently and dabble in other languages for fun. I love to engage in conversation and adore learning new things (I'm quite inquisitive). I'm a teacher and love my job more than anything. Every day is a new adventure. I am very "gourmande" (I don't know the word in English, it's like a person who loves finer foods/cuisines, foodie maybe?). I love to work out and usually aid in doing so by dancing whenever the mood strikes me.:)

Now at the risk of sounding completely conceited I must admit that I'm a huge bleeding heart. I'm actually selfless to a fault. It's kind of gotten me in trouble before (ish) but I just can't comprehend selfishness or worrying about myself when there are real problems and people that need help out there. I have to make a concentrated effort to do something for myself. It's a blessing and a curse I guess.

I am a ridiculously simple person. I appreciate getting straight to the point. *I reread that. It was not meant to sound like a sex thing.

It's pretty difficult to talk about yourself in a way that doesn't make you sound like a complete douche, or at least I haven't mastered that art yet... I will say that I'm pretty transparent, so if there's any confusion talking to me will clear that up right quick.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an ESL/English teacher at a European international school. I spend most of my time in professional development and researching educational methodologies. I am working on creating a curriculum for my levels for my first through fifth grade classes.

I've decided this summer I'm going to Italy so I've started studying Italian on the side. This will be the sixth language I've studied and I'm hoping to hit more up soon! Last summer was Australia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Thailand.
I’m really good at
Witty humor. Once I get to know someone I can be very hilarious but in a raunchy/sarcastic/dry way. I'm actually grossly inappropriate and vulgar. If you think ladies should never curse, move around because I put sailors to shame. So good at creating awesome strings of curse words.
I guess I'm good at dancing :P Either way I really like it...
Being honest. I actually suck at lying. I always say what's on my mind, because life is easier that way.
Learning. I love it. Obviously languages is my hobby, but I love learning about others' interests as well, regardless of the topic.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm passionate and intense, but also extremely goofy :P
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Currently reading (I know I will forget to update this later): A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. Yes I'm double-fisting them as they run parallel to each other for the most part.
I don't normally read nonfiction but historical linguistics/etymology fascinates me. It's my first Bryson book and I'm excited about it. I'm rather enjoying his writing style (although I found a few tiny errors, but I'll let them slide :P Now I sound like a snob...)
Books: Etymologicon, The Millennium Trilogy and other Scandinavian thrillers, The Secret Garden and A Little Princess (because I refuse to grow up), The Giver (and other young adult dystopia lit), Uncle Tom's Cabin, The Miracle at St. Anna, all Michael Crichton and Stephen King, Le Petit Prince, tout ce qu'il y a de Baudelaire, Victor Hugo, Molière, Rimbault (!!)

Movies: An Imitation of Life, To Sir With Love, L'Auberge Espagnol, L'Arnacœur, Two Days in Paris, Midnight in Paris, La Cage Aux Folles, Le Dîner des Cons, La Chèvre, les Intouchables, Sherlock Holmes, Mildred Pierce, What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?

Shows: Modern Family, Always Sunny, Downton Abbey, I netflix Dr. Who and the new Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and kind of have unhealthy crushes on them both.

Music: Lord..... Everything? Favorite style would have to be neotango I suppose. Ambiance music is always nice. I like hip hop in the original sense of the word (not to be confused with ghetto mess hip pop). Love bachata (and to dance to it!) and all other latin styles. Soulful blues/jazz is always appreciated. I was raised right and on classical music so I LOVE listening to classical and jazz to unwind. I have also even been known to tolerate country (rarely, but it happens).

Oh goodness Food: EVERYTHING
Six things I could never do without
Chapstick, a good book, lesson planning book, my phone (bad, I know), wallet, passport
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about my classes, and new ideas/lessons I want to try/implement with them
On a typical Friday night I am
Curled up reading a book, sipping a glass of wine and listening to Gotan Project on Pandora :)
You should message me if
Obviously, if you are interested in talking to me. I think that one is pretty simple.

BUT: Don't message me if you are going to start your conversation with "Want to have sex?" I feel like as a citizen of the planet EARTH I at least deserve a fucking hello. If you can't even acknowledge a woman as a living breathing human being with a brain tucked away somewhere behind that face you seem stuck on then I am going to politely ask you to not ever speak to me. I don't have the time or patience.
And in that same vein, if you point out my own physical attributes to me you are a moron. I have had this body for 25 years and have graduated from puberty quite some time back. Telling me what is nice on me is redundant. Not to sound cocky, but I already know. And it makes me think that you can't come up with ANYTHING to start a conversation other than pointing out the obvious. I should be clear, I don't think I'm perfect, but I do know what I have and what I don't have. I don't need someone who can't think of a book or TV show or what happened to them today to tell me about ME. Sorry, that is my little rant. They happen from time to time. For idiots. It's always for idiots.
