My self-summary
I don't particularly like writing about myself, which makes this...awkward. So, let's talk about something else. Did you know that in three states, hot sauce must be served warmer than 100 degrees, or it can't be called hot sauce? True story.

Well, not true. But it is a story.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to accomplish something worthwhile. While searching for that, working at a startup as a programmer, and generally being a nerd. I play guitar, but not with other people. I should change that (by playing with other people, not by quitting).

I've done some coding in Lisp every single day since July 2010. It's one of the things I've done that I'm proudest about.

I'm currently trying to become ambidextrous. It turns out that it's easier to become proficient with one hand when you're a baby than it is to become proficient with the other when you're an adult.

Also, a weekly improv practice group.
I’m really good at
procrastination. Also, many other things, such as
The first things people usually notice about me
Much to my chagrin, people are rarely impressed that I am wearing pants.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Cory Doctorow, Asimov, Jack Vance

Shows: Mr. Show, Arrested Development, Clone High, The Office (the original is the best), Fawlty Towers, Stella, Daria. I've been on a giant QI kick lately.

Movies: UHF, Spinal Tap (and other Christopher Guest movies), The Princess Bride, Monty Python movies. I'm really more of a tv guy.

Music: Weezer, Modest Mouse, White Stripes, Jimmy Eat World, Led Zeppelin, Barenaked Ladies, Brian Wilson, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Elvis Costello, Frank Zappa, Ween, Tism, John Mayer, The Fiery Furnaces. Parker Millsap and his band slept in my living room.

My favorite galaxy:
The six things I could never do without
Music. Can this also include a guitar? Yes. Yes, it can.
A computer (running Linux) and the internet.
Intellectual challenge.
A place to disappear to.
A sense of humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I can do to be more productive. Then I'll try one of those things, and it works...for a week or so.
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out in my apartment.

But it's not as bad as it sounds, because I have an amazing apartment.

Well, maybe not "amazing", but it's nice enough. I should probably clean up, though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have expensive taste in computer keyboards.
You should message me if
You're a nerd. (I'm one too).
You want to do something interesting with your life -- even if you don't know what that is, yet.
