I love to try new things such as foods and travel destinations. I love the energy of live music and dancing while prizing quiet time with someone special. I enjoy sports and stay active to keep in shape. My opinions are right for me, but I don't assume they are right for others as I understand the difference between opinions and facts. I enjoy British comedy because I happen to love sarcasm.
The person I am looking for tries to keep an even keel through life's ebbs and flows because, like Mufasa, you understand the circle of life. You also value having someone special in your life who will support you through the tough times and you offer the same support in kind, all while striving to find the best path possible to achieve individual and mutual goals and taking every opportunity to laugh and enjoy the moment we are in. You are a person who is ready for a long-term relationship, you crave intellectual stimulation and you will hold up your end of a relationship that strives for maximum communication.
For those who enjoy the Myers-Briggs personality tests, I have come out as an INFJ each time I have taken the test. The following seems a fair assessment of me...INFJs are gentle, caring, complex and highly intuitive individuals. Artistic and creative, they live in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities. Only one percent of the population has an INFJ Personality Type, making it the most rare of all the types. INFJs have uncanny insight into people and situations. They get "feelings" about things and intuitively understand them. If you are not familiar with the INFJ personality type, please take a few moments to read up on it so you have a reasonable outline of who I am. It will help greatly.
Thank you for stopping by and I wish you luck finding the person who you are looking for, but remember that happiness starts from within.
I'm very intuitive with people I know and care about. Sometimes the things I know surprise me and will surprise you. Please be open to, if not comfortable with, this likelihood.
Patience. I refuse to settle for less than a great relationship. I deserve that and so do you. It's worth the wait.
Dead Poets Society is my favorite movie. The Princess Bride, A Knight's Tale and Contact are others on my favorites' list. Crash really had me thinking and Enemy of the State has Gene Hackman, my favorite actor. Lord of the Rings was far better than I dared dream...thank you Peter Jackson.
American Horror Story was awesome Season 1 but I have not had the opportunity to catch this season at all. Huff was a great series on Showtime a few years back. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is so me. Les Miserables is my musical of choice unless we are counting Rocky Horror Picture Show.
U2 is my band and I gravitate towards 80s alternative and punk, but I can listen to most anything. I also love The Prototypes, a band from Paris. A special mention for Muse and Metric as well. Let me know if there is someone more romantic to listen to than Sade because I am unaware of who that is. I am very late to the party on Toadies but I'm there now. Steely Dan is amazing. RIP David Bowie - We can be heroes... just for one day.
Sushi, Indian, Mexican and Italian are favorites along with virtually any type of fish. I hate peanut butter and I've never had coffee. As a guy, it is mandated that I like wings and pizza and I am compliant on this issue. I'm looking forward to increasing my salad intake. If you haven't had a real paella in your life, you owe yourself the pleasure. Lemon tea with honey is my cold-weather drink of choice when settling down at night. I will never forget the pommes frites roadside stand in Philippeville, Belgium that I frequented and enjoyed with Samurai sauce. The Belgians know how to eat.

There are so many ways to tell a woman she is beautiful. All of them fail to approach what a man feels when you are in his presence.
Having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
“If we listened to our intellect, we’d never have a love affair. We’d never have a friendship. We’d never go into business, because we’d be cynical. Well, that’s nonsense. You’ve got to jump off cliffs all the time and build your wings on the way down.” - Ray Bradbury
It's a marvelous night for a moondance.
“I won't tell you that the world matters nothing, or the world's voice, or the voice of society. They matter a good deal. They matter far too much. But there are moments when one has to choose between living one's own life, fully, entirely, completely—or dragging out some false, shallow, degrading existence that the world in its hypocrisy demands. You have that moment now. Choose!” ― Oscar Wilde
There are no quick fixes in life. Love is worth waiting for and no obstacle should prevent it from happening if it is meant to be.
It's going through the trials and tribulations of life that create the contrast to enable us to taste the sweetest moments.
I collect rare photographs. One is a picture of Houdini locking his keys in his car. Another is a picture of Norman Rockwell beating up a child.
I used to work for a company that made fire hydrants. You couldn't park anywhere near the place.
My heart is fragile but I will continue to offer it as seems appropriate. Love is worth risking everything.
I really like Downton Abbey.
I have pet several snow leopards more than a few times.
To me, cook books should be in the fiction section of the book store. The dishes seem plausible, but that is never going to happen in my kitchen.
I have a UFO story I might be willing to share.
The snozzberries taste like snozzberries.
The quality of the journey is every bit as important to you as the destination. You believe that your soulmate has to be your best friend by definition. You don't want to settle for less than everything a person can give and you offer the same in return.
I once had a thousand desires
But in my one desire to know you
All else melted away
