My self-summary
Wow I haven't been on here in a long time, but figured I'm in a better place now and could stand to be in a relationship with the right person. I will update pictures as I get some new ones.

So a bit about me. I'm a man dealing with the fact that I'm no longer in my 20s. Sad at the fact that I have to hit the gym way more often in order to not get terribly soft around the middle. Curse my metabolism for no longer allowing me to eat a couple pizzas in one sitting and not gain a pound! Why couldn't that have lasted forever?

Okay so I'll say strait out I'm terrible at selling myself... And interviews.... Which are about the same thing really. I don't do exaggeration and am up front with my flaws, of which there are a few. The flip side of that being I'm probably one of the most honest people you will ever meet. I try to be a good person when i can and value other people as much as I do myself... Which is a huge improvement over what I used to do which is value other people more than myself.

I'm not sure there is a good generic label to describe me. I have some nerdy hobbies in that I like all sorts of gaming, building PCs, and enjoy things like star trek and Dr. Who. But I also try to stay fairly well rounded. I'm up for trying almost anything at least once. I try to keep in shape at the Gym. I will occasionally perform in theater. I enjoy karaoke, though it takes me forever to figure out what song I want to sing. And I love to cook.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm fixing up the place I live at and working a lot of hours doing blue collar work at a warehouse. Not glamorous or anything, but it pays well and the days go by pretty fast. For the first time in a long time I have extra money with which to actually DO things. Other than that I'm trying to keep busy whether it's by auditioning and occasionally acting in a play, or just making time for friends and family.
I’m really good at
Well, I love to cook and bake and am told I'm pretty good at it. I love to experiment and try new things. Also I'm also very good at being objective and logical in my thinking.
The first things people usually notice about me
You know... I honestly don't know... I'd like think it depends on where they meet me. Most of the time they'd probably think I was just a quiet guy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Well, I don't read all that much outside of news and science articles (I read a lot more than the average American, but no where near what some people read). My favorite books are the Dune and Coldfire series. I also enjoyed the Harry Potter series. I read other things too, but I'm a REALLY slow reader so for the most part I'll stick to the movies if it's an option. (note: I've recently learned to appreciate audio books.)

My favorite movie depends on the genre we are talking about.

Disney: Aladdin
Comedy: Too many to pick a favorite
Horror: Shaun of the Dead (I have a thing for horror comedys)
Epic: Braveheart or The Last Samurai
Foreign: Sanjuro
Action: Die Hard

The list just goes on and on from there. but I would have to say that Princess Bride is probably my favorite movie of all time (so much so I named my dog after one of the main characters).

I watch a lot of netflix. I've burned through way too many shows thanks to that. My favorites being Sci-Fi based like Star Trek, Stargate, Farscape, and of course Dr. Who.

As far as music goes I'm very eclectic. I'll listen to just about anything with the exception of rap and most modern hip hop (can't stand the lyrics). However I will say that I am particularly fond of swing and Big Band music, as well as classical and the more upbeat jazz. I also listen to a lot of classic rock.

Part of loving to cook is learning to love most types of food, but my favorite genre has to go to Italian. I'm also a big fan of Chinese. Americanized Chinese is okay, but authentic Chinese is awesome (If you haven't tried it yet look up a restaurant called LuLu's. Their dim sum is just awesome). I try to eat relatively healthy, but I am bad some times. That being said, I am always looking to try different types of food.
Six things I could never do without
I hate this section... This is all an exaggeration of course, but I figure it's better than putting down air, water, ect... So here it goes in no particular order.

1. Friends/Family
2. Computer/Internet
3. Netflix (this has made cable unnecessary in my house)
4. A kitchen to cook in
5. My dog
6. Games (video or board)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately I think a lot about new recipes or things I'd like to try and cook. Either that or I'm listening to the ever playing jukebox that is my head... It's kind of been on a Queen kick lately.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends on if I work on Saturday or not. I'm actually more of a morning person so unless I have plans Friday night is actually just me sleeping so I can do something fun/productive on Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have high functioning autism (formally and unfortunately known as Asperger's). I've learned to socialize well enough to where most people can't tell, but it still affects me. For example I still have a very hard time telling when people are serious, or just screwing with me. I also tend to switch back and forth between hyperfocus and hypofocus (I either block everything out but what I'm focused on, or I can't filter out background noise at all and so can't understand what someone who is 2 feet away from me is saying.) I have however gotten really good at reading most people body language to the point that I'm actually apparently better at it than people who rely on their natural instinct rather than looking for specific ticks or expressions, so yay for that. Oh, and I also have gotten WAY better at habitually putting expressions on my own face to reflect my mood as opposed to just looking like a blank faced robot most of the time (a critique I got a lot as a child unfortunately).
You should message me if
You think we'd get along and find me appealing.
