My self-summary
Hi !
I arrived in Japan not so long ago, I'm working here as a researcher for at least three years.
I've created this account when I was still living in Scotland so you might see some inconsistencies in my answers.
Ah, and I'm French. Or Occitan.
What I’m doing with my life
My life is mostly spent in boring Tsukuba, although I manage to escape to Tokyo from time to time.
When I'm not at work I can be working out, reading books and newspapers, improving my Japanese, watching movies and series, debating politics with friends, playing video games, chatting with you, ...
I’m really good at
procrastinating, especially if it involves some administrative paperwork. Exxxtremely good :)
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm French? ^^
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Book: The Capital
Movies: Battleship Potemkin
Shows: a few very common TV shows on streaming (HIMYM,TBBT,Breaking Bad,Weeds,TrueBlood,GoT,...)
Music: mostly things you certainly don't know :) The style is not very important, lyrics are more important.
Food: I eat pretty much anything
Six things I could never do without
My computer(s)
My phone as well, although I never use it as a phone
Cheese and Wine... well, I have to do without that, but it's painful
Olive oil (fortunately it's not as difficult as I thought to find in barbarian countries)
And then I don't know... Do you want to become the sixth?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How crazy Japanese are, of course.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either trying to get up early so that I can spend a long Saturday in Tokyo or somewhere else, or finishing the night in "the" gaijin bar of Tsukuba.
You should message me if
Well, if you want to. And if you don't live four hours of train away :) (although you should feel free to contact me too if you're just visiting Tokyo without living there)
