My self-summary
I dunno what to do about my location anymore. Splitting time for work (software engineer; it's technical and sorta boring) between NYC and DC, but my lease is in Brooklyn. During the week you'll find me in and around the Maryland suburbs.

Outside of work: playing pool, making weirdo net art, trying to maintain a weird split social life between cities, always trying and failing to get a good night's sleep. Baby steps, right?
What I’m doing with my life
Computer science(-ish) for fun and profit. Waking up way too early on Saturdays during soccer season. Looking for weird old beers and VHS tapes. Enduring the latter with the aid of the former.
I’m really good at
Record digging. Pub quiz. Assembling a karaoke crew on short notice. Knowing my way around a kitchen and cooking for a crowd.

TV, lately: Black Mirror, Bob's Burgers, Bojack Horseman, Fargo, The Leftovers, Orphan Black, Review, a TON of reality garbage I can't shamelessly cop to right now. Trust me, it's bad.

Food: Regional barbecue appellations (always: galbi, eastern NC, TX hill country), Cambodian, Xi'an, Pueblan. Oysters, soft-shell crabs, kimchi, collards, asparagus. Strong flavors, fermented foods, and spicy stuff. Always game to try new offal/other unmentionables, seasonal seafood, and glutinous, uh, things. Constantly working on improving my hacky knife skills.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Dumb unshakeable class guilt, prison abolition, LGBT issues, infosec and free culture, the future of organized labor and workers' movements. And, let's not lie: fantasy football.
