My self-summary
I love music, hanging with my eclectic group of friends, and trying on newness. I've have a passionate spirit and a compassionate heart. I have been an avid traveler (and am overdue). I have loved and lost and loved and lost but my heart keeps getting bigger. I have a ton of different interests, but music is the apex, as a musician and a fan. I get out most weekends, but am equally a homebody. I run my own software business, I'm a reader, I'm an opinionated wannabe political pundit. I love to cook and have a huge list of restaurants I'm trying to check off the list (I'm 'pescategan' but I'll cook anything and eat anywhere). I believe that the Buddha got it spot on right. I'm honest, funny, goofy, loyal, and a fun guy to hang out with.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a software guy that in the last few years moved from engineering to working with inventions. I work from home most of the time.

I've been playing guitar most of my life and gig all over the bay area. I don't watch TV so I can usually be found at nights practicing or noodling songs. I usually do the jam band sound though I love to play jazz. And I'm just as much of a fan, so I go to a lot of shows.

There's a whole slew of other things I love to do too. More later...
I’m really good at
Having fun where I am, rocking out, my work, having a great conversation, laughing, kissing, smiling, being a giver, and talking to almost anybody about anything.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love the classics, especially 20th century authors. Jitterbug Perfume is still one of my all-time favorites. Vonnegut, Hemingway, Bukowski go back for me. A new one I recently read is Everything Matters by Ron Currie, amazing. So many to name, I love to read and I've got 3 or 4 usually going at a time.

Movies: I love going to the movies and just as well much of a pleasure is going myself. I can't go more than a week without at least one movie night, sometimes even if it means renting something sub 50% on rotten tomatoes. iTunes is kind of like the fridge, I keep regularly opening it up thinking there will be something new to eat.

Music: I have a music composition degree, so I like to think this is my wheel house. I appreciate all music - good is good. I love the local music scene here. I have my staple favorites and get most of my new release info from KCRW out of LA. I love jam bands as much as I love Ryan Adams, Massive Attack, Debussy, and Coltrane.

Food: Sushi, Thai, all nuts, blueberries, chocolate anything. But really pretty much everything, save for eggplant.
Six things I could never do without
