My self-summary
About me: Old world charm/new world quirks. Sweet girl, smart, and an original. Some other things off the top of my head and in no particular order: Quick and creative thinker. Patient. Zest for life. Pragmatic dreamer. I'm a bit soft-spoken and have an accent that could crush a beer can, but hopefully you'll catch my one-liners.

Other tidbits and oddball miscellany: My favorite lunchmeat is peanut butter. I don't untie my shoes before taking them off, which makes undoing the double-knot that much harder (endearing?). If I could have anything in the world it would be a brogue (oh fine, world peace). Probably the most important thing to me is good turn-of-phrase.

Aaaand one last thing...while on the lam from Nebraska, I've lived in 6 states, Washington DC (not a state...yet), Ireland, and now New Zealand (7 years already!!). It's been interesting.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m one of the lucky ones whose career has been more than just bread and butter - not many can say that about government work! But I'm not defined by my job. In my free time, I can be found:
- Joining a habitat cleanup/restoration project.
- Experimenting with different cookbooks in my kitchen (*which sometimes leads to ordering pizza!).
- Learning something Totally Random.
- Planning my next fancy dress costume.
- Figuring out whose birthday is next and what the most awesome gift in the world might be.
- Keeping in touch with family and friends around the world.
- Dreaming about my next holiday- Im a pretty keen traveller!
I’m really good at
Well I grew up in a remote place and it was so boring. So I suppose I'm good at making my own fun- talking about random stuff, cracking jokes (*not always good jokes*) and just having fun for free...
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know why but people often think I'm a school teacher (I'm not)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Round Ireland with a Fridge (Tony Hawks) and Shantaram

Movies: Nothing with a snake. That is all I ask.
For example:
Big River Man
Strength of Water
Samson & Delilah (Aboriginal movie, not the biblical classic thing)
Napoleon Dynamite
It's a Wonderful Life (yes really)
Food Inc
Trailer Park Boys - Christmas Movie

Music: Too much to list but basically trash rock and bowling alley classics. Also Britpop, new wave, and punk. A smattering of indie/electronica/robot music. But most importantly, I hate jazz. Especially fast and squeaky jazz.

Food: Yes please! I usually eat the plants but am not strictly vegetarian (mmm steak...)
The six things I could never do without
Passport, public transportation, good credit, a purpose, and my wit(s)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, love, and what's for dinner.
And lately, why do so many fellas on this site have 'taco' in their profile name?
On a typical Friday night I am
Either out on the town or sleeping. By Friday night I'm a little bit all-or-nothing...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
7 times world dwarf throwing champ
(As if I'd tell the truth here!)
You should message me if
Well I suppose if what I've said here caught your interest...and so did a photo :)
