I like crafts and tinkering. It is nice to create something tangible when at work you create mostly intangible. I bicycle to work all year round. I like to skate during the winter time. Sometimes I tense up a recurve bow. I can juggle a bit (anyone can with the tiniest bit of practice), and hit some chords on a guitar. I can wriggle my ears.
I like playing games with friends, not video games, but modern tabletop games. But I would not say no to a session of retro video gaming either.
I photograph nature and its phenomena when I come across them: halos, thunderstorms, solar and lunar eclipses. We last viewed the total solar eclipse of 2012 in Australia in perfect weather 150km west from Cairns. (The next solar eclipse trip will be into USA in 2017. Are you interested?)
During the summer I plant, mow the lawn, make firewood, cook lunch and dinner, heat up the sauna, and relax.
I see the fun in everyday situations. I'm good at theoretical and also practical things, and I like working with my hands and mind equally.
I like movies with a twist, that are off-format, or unusual mixtures of genres.
I cook food, I eat food -- Finnish, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, whatever, I enjoy a wide variety and will try almost anything. When I cook, I improvise to find new things that work together. I produce my own wine.
I play boardgames with my friends, including but not limited to Battlestar Galactica and Star Wars: Imperial Assault, and I'm painting the miniatures. (I'm starting to become a big fan of Star Wars due to that game.) We select a suitable game according to the players present.
knew what it meant to love, and to be lonely, ah, yes, he knew that above
all things, and he felt that most keenly when he listened to the Vampire

... want to enjoy a tabletop game, look at the stars, shoot some arrows, or hunt thunderstorms.
... can use a friend to clip, glue, paint, tie, sew, saw, cut, nail, screw and be silly with.
