I'd like to think that I'm a bright sort, awake, a deep thinker, always hungry to learn and discover. So I read and I write and I visit and I ponder and it's never enough, which is as it should be. I live for good music, good food, good places and good people. I'm a lapsed musician, been a chef in another life and now I'm editor and writer for a magazine and website, mainly about food and the arts.
Oh, and I review restaurants, although I still can't quite believe it.
I've been told I’m a little old fashioned but in a good way, i.e. I open doors for others but don’t wear tweed. And while I enjoy the finer things in life (or would like to) I’ll admit I’m mostly just a big kid and a hopeless day dreamer. I dig meaningful conversation, so long as there’s a lot of laughter in there too.
Things I'm not: a millionaire or anything close; a full-tilt extrovert; a bad kisser; a good dancer; a playa, Sports; shallow; as clever as I'd like to be...
Things I am: kind; dry of humour but warm of heart; prone to endearing social gaffes; a music addict; a rational-skeptic; soulful; a good cook; bit of a geek; book-devourer; TV-ambivalent; sick of my own lists...
Music; it's all about the soul and the beat so give me rock n roll, blues, funk, jazz and retro rock with a little modern fuzz thrown in.
Film: Need a balance of popcorn and smarts
Food: I write about food for a living, but I'm pretty swish at cooking French shiz

... Alright, maybe a couple of caveats:
1) Distance: if we're too far away, i.e. 50 miles+ it probably isn't going to work out, sadly. Whoever said "love conquers all" clearly never met the M25 at rush hour.
2) "If u lik 2 tlk lik dis, lol" , you should probably buy a dictionary and definitely leave me alone.
3) I have a son. But don't worry, he's a cat.
