My self-summary
I feel that the overwhelming existential abyss is best faced with silly jokes and a healthy dose of sarcasm. If conversation is good I can talk and debate and discuss for hours on end. If conversation is bad I can make awkward, inappropriate jokes for hours on end.

I like to challenge and be challenged by people. I'm a ball buster. I've been told I'm a piece of work and I like to think that's a compliment.

I like doing things, but I also like not doing things. One of my mantras is an old Spanish proverb: "How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then rest afterward."
What I’m doing with my life
Coming back to the Bay after a three year stint in NYC. About to start working for a charter school network doing data analysis and IT, very excited! I'm also helping a friend start a tutoring business, which is fun if you're an excel nerd like me.

More generally I spend a bunch of my free time working on a comic book thinger with a friend and producing electronic music.

That is if I'm not busy doing nothing.
I’m really good at
Funny faces, cuddles, witty repartee, catching things before they fall, laughing at my own jokes.
The first things people usually notice about me
Baby blues.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Not really a favorites person, but most recently and not so recently: The Things They Carried, The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Ender's Game, American Gods, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, ...

Fela Kuti, Claude VonStroke and his dirtybird label, J Dilla, Gorillaz, MF DOOM, Interpol, Paul Simon, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Fleet Foxes, Django Reinhardt, ...

I've been known to dabble in the kitchen and I have in my possession the recipe for the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever have in your entire life, guaranteed, period.

When all is said and done, though, sushi and Adventure Time will always be fast tracks to my heart.
The six things I could never do without
1 People whom I love and respect
2 Curiosity
3 Hilarious banter
4 The means to express myself
5 Beauty
6 Cold water

and a shout out to number 7: ordered lists.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How bonobos seem to have it all figured out.
On a typical Friday night I am
Flamboasting.
You should message me if
You wanna subvert the dominant paradigm.

You wanna Story Corps interview each other. Seriously, look it up. Let's get deep.

You can dance and you wanna funk with this.

You're a psychonaut.

And you're funny. Gotta be funny.
