I love Bill Bryson, Sedaris, Krakauer, Chogyam Trungpa, Shunryu Suzuki, Dzogchen ponlop, and Eckhart Tolle. I also like to read science articles and running or bicycle adventure stories. Art books and periodicals on painting and sculpture are on my list too.
I like pretty much anything as long as it's NOT Micheal Bolton, super grimy rock, gangster wrap or modern country. More specifically, I like progressive house and ambient (Stars of the lid, Cocteau twins, Harold budd), Thievery corporation, Radiohead, The kills, Bjork, Imogen Heap, The Shins, Future sounds of London, Gotye, Beach house, Kylie mignue, Radiohead, the Pixies, Chris isaak, Janes addiction, Yea yea yeas, Talking heads. Mabe some KC and the sunshine band, Earth wind and fire, Foreigner, Duran Duran, or the Bee Gees (for some cheesy fun).
I do not watch a lot of TV, but when I do: Always sunny, Southpark, Arrested development, Louis CK, the guild, Dexter, Curb your enthusiasm. A nature, art, animal or science documentary.
Blade runner, Barbarella, The Wrestler, Raising Arizona, Waiting for Guffman, Best in show, Fargo, Mollholand drive, Blue Velvet, Tropic thunder, Office space, Being john malkovich, A Fish called Wanda, Logan's run, The shining, Dead man, Little miss sunshine, Silent running, Aguirre the wrath of god, High art, Fear and loathing in Las vegas, Office space, No country for old men, Happiness, Raging bull, Liquid sky, Black swan, Wild at heart, Love you to death, Taxi driver, Flash gordon, Drugstore cowboy, Barfly. I know it is a long list, but acting was and still is part of my life, so I'm propelled to share my favorites.
