I'm a giant nerd. Design and details, architecture, the way things fit together. I have an ongoing love affair with the Pacific Ocean. I love pub quiz and nacho cheese Doritos and fresh flowers. I yog casually. I bake my own bread from scratch with no recipe. Your dog loves me. Your mom loves me.
What I’m doing with my life
By day: Girl Friday.
By night: incredible pastry chef.

Joan Holloway is my spirit animal. Life is an adventure. I like scotch.
I’m really good at
Saying exactly the wrong thing (a healthy mixture of embarrassing and hilarious)
Parallel parking
Drinking with friends
The first things people usually notice about me
A ready smile and quick wit. And my fantastic gams.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Michener, Amy Tan, Garcia Marquez. Historical fiction.

Movies: When Harry Met Sally, Elf, Wet Hot American Summer

Shows: Mad Men, West Wing, House of Cards, Bob's Burgers, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Music: Current favorite Pandora station is based on Lionel Richie and Paul Simon. I prefer music with words over instrumental.

Food: Yes. Cheese always, crusty bread, anything authentic Mexican, sour things, bitter cocktails, citrus flavors.
Six things I could never do without
cheese, a kitchen, underpants, hugs, things to look forward to, a sewing machine
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What if what I see as yellow, someone else sees as green, and so on round the spectrum - but they call my green yellow and my yellow orange just because that's what they've identified as that color? and there's NO WAY TO KNOW EVER.
On a typical Friday night I am
rolling with the punches! Friday nights are awesome. I generally don't plan anything but will usually either go out with work friends downtown, head out of town for the weekend, or go home to bake for the weekend's wedding.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have no idea what anyone can say here that truly gives enough of an impression without being a novel. The whole premise of finding one's husband from an app is so bizarre, but no one in this town will talk to you in a bar anymore, and I don't meet guys baking for weddings, unsurprisingly. I'm a good sport, hit me with your best shot.

Also, I lost a knife fight one time. Only the one time though.
You should message me if
riding your bike 10 miles down the burke gilman with a few friends to a brewery where you have a couple of beers and a burger, then meandering back and spending the evening with said friends playing card games and inventing cocktails sounds like a good time.

I do love messages, but be forewarned: if you're not both confident and social, we aren't going to work.
The two of us
