My self-summary
I am a science geek, I love learning new things and finding out how things work. I love to read a good book, meet new people, go on adventure and travel near and far (looking forward to my trip to Turkey in February). I think a day is equally well spent reading a good book or going and doing something new for the very first time.
What I’m doing with my life
I work at a local hospital. I love that I get to meet dozens of different people everyday at my job and I now know that I will likely be turning healthcare into a career for me. Which is why I am getting ready to apply for medical school.

I dont plan on spending more than one to two more years in Chico. But I do love it here and hope I am able to find another place like it in the future.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at learning new things; in fact learning is one of my favorite things to do. This has served me pretty well and because of it I have gotten pretty good at flyfishing, chess, weight lifting (still working on that one) and teaching (a new love of mine).

I love pondering about hypotheticals; like what would happen if an EMP pulse took out the eastern seaboard, what would we do if we achieved contact with aliens, what would hip hop be like if Micheal Jackson had stayed black. You know the important things.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes apparently, I think it is my height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Ender's Game, The Alchemist, The Dresden Files.

I like books that have a well written and thought out universe I can get lost in, books that will draw me in and before I know it, it is already 5am and I completely forgot I have to get ready for work. I also enjoy reading books that are going to teach me more about myself, kind of a guided inner journey.

Movies: The Boondock Saints, 28 Days Later, The Man from Earth.

Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Action and Adventure are the go to staples here. Usually when I want to watch a movie I simply want to stop thinking and be entertained but occasionally I want a movie that is going to make me think. If you are the same way I highly recommend watching The Man from Earth, it will get you wondering about what it means to be human.

Shows: Top Gear, Red Dwarf, Dr. Who, Star Trek:TNG and Archer.

Spending some time abroad and getting access to cable again has definitely opened my experience to new TV shows. I spend most of my time finding new shows to watch on netflix. So if you have a show to recommend let me know!

Music: I really dont know that much about music a few of the people I have found I really liked are Lindsey Stirling, Iron Maiden, Florence and the Machines, Imagine Dragons and Israeli Kamakawiwoʻole.

Food: Italian, Japanese, Indian and Thai.

I like being adventurous with food, if I have never had it before you know I will be ordering it.
Six things I could never do without
Smartphone (It is ridiculous what you can do with phones!)

Alcohol (What can I say I like microbiology and making beer is awesome)

Relaxing with friends

The sense of wonder from doing something for the very first time

Need to work on getting a sixth one
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Microbiology - What more can I say besides it is totally awesome! Seriously our world is entirely made up of things that are so small we have to use powerful microscopes or even shoot electrons at them in order to see them.

Taking over the world - Both the thrill of being emperor and the logistics of becoming and staying emperor. Also I'm pretty sure I would be a tyrant which probably says something really deep and meaningful about me but usually I just fantasize about how cool it would be to make Iceland/Greenland or Australia/New Zealand fight to the death.

Zombies - Who doesn't want to live in a zombie apocalypse!
On a typical Friday night I am
If I am not working than probably at home watching a movie or reading.
You should message me if
If you need someone to; go hiking with, go try out a new restaurant with, wander around the farmers market with. Generally if you want someone to accompany you while having a good time.
